Nervous

I'm very nervous about the 3 hour pre-op testing this afternoon.  My stomach (what there is of it) is tied in knots!

Oh, just got a call from Dr. Chojnacki, the surgeon.  She said to forget about getting the MRI.  There is an ultrasound specialist who will do a liver ultrasound in the operating room.  They are all pretty sure the spots on my liver are cysts, but there is always the chance they aren't.  She agreed with me that if it were something serious, I'd be sick by now.  It's been 5 months since they were discovered and the life span for untreated liver cancer is 6 weeks.  She also said that I will be in the operating room about 4 hours and in recovery for 2-3 hours.  I asked her about going back to work and she said I could not lift things for 8 weeks and she would write a letter to HR to tell them that and I should expect to be out for 8 weeks.  That's more reasonable.  At least I will be starting to eat solid food by then.  I'm feeling better after speaking with her.

10 days to surgery
