YESTERDAY AT THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE
It's the morning of Halloween. The day I always think of as the beginning of the holiday season. When the door closes behind the last little kid this evening, the Thanksgiving/Christmas season begins for me.
Joe and I have the candy ready and it's supposed to get up around 70* here tonight so we will sit outside to see all the little darlings that come by. I so enjoy this. We don't get very many kids because we are on a one block street out of the main path, but we get some. And yes, we even give to the big kids. There are so many worse things they could do than go trick-or-treating.
I found this on facebook and thought I would share it with you. What is your Halloween costume? I'm a beautiful llama. LOL!
I will tell you all about our evening tomorrow.
Yesterday after Bible Study I headed for the doctor. I have had headaches most days for about three months now. I just can't take it anymore. Plus I am having severe pain in both of my hands and it is difficult to do anything strenuous with them. On top of everything else, my ear has been bothering me and I thought I must have an ear infection.
I got there on time but had to wait an hour in the waiting room. I knew when I walked in and almost all of the seats were taken that it would be awhile. After I got called in I had to wait another hour to see her. I have never waited two hours in that office. I've waited a long time, but never that long.
Well... she wants me to see a neurologist for the headaches after I have my brain MRI on Monday. My hands both have torn tendons and I am to use them as little as possible for the next two weeks. I have an NSAID to take the swelling down. (And this has nothing to do with the injury from a couple of weeks ago. That has all cleared up.) As for my ear, I have an infection in my ear, sinuses, my throat is a little swollen and my right gland is swollen. I have antibiotics for that. I also was running a slight fever and have a bladder infection. The antibiotics should work for everything. When I get sick, I get SICK! I have so much to do this week, that I don't have time to be sick.
I am getting off of here and starting my day. I have so much cleaning to do. It is a MESS.
I will be back tomorrow with a Halloween post for you. Have a good day everyone.
Kathy

Oh my gosh, you poor dear, you are really sick, take good care of yourself!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about your physical problems....when you get sick, you get really sick. Please take care of yourself. Hard to enjoy Halloween when you feel so bad. God bless you.
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping that you get better really soon. I hope the doctors can find the cause of your headaches and help make them go away. I love the photo of the fritters (in your last post). They look so yummy! You have a wonderful Halloween. Hugs, Edna B.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, so many symptoms and health problems going on at once, it sounds exhausting. That is good the doctors are treating you and giving tests to find causes. Be well friend.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteI"m so sorry your sick. Me as well. I had a sinus migraine hit me last week I thought I was having a stroke. It was HORRENDOUS. Went to the doctor, sinus infection ear etc.. I pray the MRI comes out clean and I hope your hands heal. I have RA, my hands, fingers and wrists are always swollen and I have a tendon in my left hand that when the weather changes, rain etc it blows up into a HUGE lump.. We don't get many kids here. I haven't seen a trick or treater in years. they all do the "Trunk or Treat".. I can understand why but I sure do miss the days when it was safe to let your children go trick or treating around the neighborhood.. I hope you have fun tonight and feel better quickly!
Kathy, I love the peanut toons. I hoe you et some cute little treaters. Kathy, my gosh, you are going to have to slow down and take care of yourself. I hope the mri shows that it's just a sinus infection , nothing more. You are in my prayers girl, Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteOh my, I'm so sorry for all you are dealing with! I had headaches a few weeks ago but that's normal for me in the beginning of fall....why?? Who knows. I hope you find relief soon. Surely the antibiotic will help. I've had Ellen to the Dr several times this week because of a terrible rash she has on her hands and arms. She's seeing a specialist on Friday. No clue to what brought this on or what it is, really. Always something, isn't it?! Hope you have some kiddos to brighten your evening....we will enjoy the fantastic weather too!!
ReplyDeleteYou need to rest and take care, for goodness sake!! Slow down!!
ReplyDeleteOh, my, how perfect to start the Thanksgiving/Christmas season as the door closes behind the last trick or treater. I'm adopting this for myself!!! I am so sorry you're under the weather. Praying for you now.
