The temperatures are up and the snow is melting. That is good news to me. Here's the back yard with the incredible shrinking snow. These are taken through the screen window so they might be a little hard to see.
Monday: The snow is still piled high. |
Monday: The bench has a fluffy white pillow about 15-18 inches high. |
Tuesday: The snow is going. You can see the top of the table and the trash cans. |
Tuesday: That white pillow on the bench isn't quite as high. And I can see the top of my snowflake stake. |
Wednesday: Things continue to melt. The bench is almost clear. The entire snowflake is showing. I can see the table and trash cans. |
I was able to put some food on the top step (the only clear space I could get to) and noticed last night that some food was missing. Whether my red cat or another stray cat got it, I don't know but at least I'm feeding someone.
The front of the house is looking better too.
I was able to get out for the first time today. I met my friend, Donna, and we went to the Super China Buffet for lunch. We had such a good time talking and catching up with each other. The food was good too.
After we ate we took a look through Rainbow, a women's clothing store. They were having a giant sale. Donna looked at boots, but didn't buy anything. I got a pretty long gray skirt for $3. I figure even if it doesn't fit I will put it in the clothes closet at church for that price.
I dropped Donna off and then headed for the library. I had plastic bags to give them and Pumpkin's favorite toy tiger that I forgot to give Debbie when she took him to his new home. She said she would head over there after work to make sure he got it. I took about half an hour to stop and talk with everyone and get caught up on things.
I forgot to get anything out for dinner, so Joe has called out for pizza and wings. We are waiting for them to show up. I'm not at all hungry so I think most of it will be saved for tomorrow.
I'll end with some pretty sunsets we've had lately.

I am so glad your headache is gone and I know you are too. The pictures are pretty and make me shiver too! Stay well and have a good Friday coming up.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are feeling better!! It's Mountain Cedar time here in north Texas and I am sniffling and sneezing! Of course, that's because I'm sitting outside in the gazebo to blog tonight! Louis Dean cleaned it all up and I strung up fresh lights! No spring 'debris' yet but it looks nice just the way it is!
ReplyDeleteYay! Great to hear that you're feeling better. The photos are great. Looking at the snow now with the warmer temps it's hard to remember how cold it was. Thankfully it is melting quickly. The news just said that February is our highest snow month.Let's hope not!
ReplyDeleteHave a glorious day!
Winter sunsets are soooo pretty, I wouldn't know about sunrises....I am not up that early. I like watching the snow melt too, but ours won't be melting for a while. We are expecting a big snow storm early next week.
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely sunsets, and you're feeling better, and you have the leisure and lovely warm comfort of lunching with friends, visiting "work" (and NOT WORKING) and then the easy order-in of a nice supper if you're rushed or simply don't want to cook. What a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteAlways good to see your adventures,
rachel
PS i meant to say that your yard was a Wonderland for a while, there---everyday cans and grill disguised as great Sno-Cones like a scene from "Charlie and the Ice Cream Factory."
