I am finally feeling some better. That first dose of medicine really knocked it out of me. The only side effect seems to be a pounding heart. Every once in awhile it just goes off on me. According to the brochure that came with it, that is a common side effect and will go away as soon as I finish the medication. OK. I can live with that for a few days. Now I have a cough. But that will go away too.
I stayed home from work again today. I don't think Boss was happy about it (he hung up on me when I called in sick) but I have a doctor's note so I'm OK.
I did a load of wash today. We are so very behind on wash. The pile is almost as tall as I am. I just have to keep at it every day. I'll get caught up eventually.
I also cleaned up a HUGE pile of stuff I had just thrown on the floor next to the sofa. It's so easy to do that and so hard to clean it all up. I am determined not to do that again.
And (with Joe's help because I'm so short) I changed the shower curtain to the autumn one. Brown and gold leaves instead of shades of green.
So you can tell I am feeling better. But being home I could stop, lay down for half an hour or an hour, nap, etc. That's something I could not do if I had been at work. I'm really going to enjoy retirement. REALLY!
I also decorated a little (and I mean LITTLE) bit. Here is the door hanging I put on the inside of the front door.
You can't really see it, but it's all sparkly.
And I put on my October nail polish. It's Julep, of course, and the name of it is Natalia. It's one of my favorites. It looks like a brand new copper penny.
So that's what's going on here. Back to work tomorrow. I'm going back to sleep now.
61 days to retirement
