I am finally feeling some better.  That first dose of medicine really knocked it out of me.  The only side effect seems to be a pounding heart.  Every once in awhile it just goes off on me.  According to the brochure that came with it, that is a common side effect and will go away as soon as I finish the medication.  OK.  I can live with that for a few days.  Now I have a cough.  But that will go away too.

I stayed home from work again  today.  I don't think Boss was happy about it (he hung up on me when I called in sick) but I have a doctor's note so I'm OK.

I did a load of wash today.  We are so very behind on wash.  The pile is almost as tall as I am.  I just have to keep at it every day.  I'll get caught up eventually.

I also cleaned up a HUGE pile of stuff I had just thrown on the floor next to the sofa.  It's so easy to do that and so hard to clean it all up.  I am determined not to do that again.

And (with Joe's help because I'm so short) I changed the shower curtain to the autumn one.  Brown and gold leaves instead of shades of green.

So you can tell I am feeling better.  But being home I could stop, lay down for half an hour or an hour, nap, etc.  That's something I could not do if I had been at work.  I'm really going to enjoy retirement.  REALLY!

I also decorated a little (and I mean LITTLE) bit.  Here is the door hanging I put on the inside of the front door.

You can't really see it, but it's all sparkly.

And I put on my October nail polish.  It's Julep, of course, and the name of it is Natalia.  It's one of my favorites.  It looks like a brand new copper penny.

So that's what's going on here.  Back to work tomorrow.  I'm going back to sleep now.

61 days to retirement

  1. I am glad you are feeling better, Kathy! Too bad you have to go back to work now that you are feeling better. lol Love your nail polish. I am all about copper come fall! xo Diana

  2. Laundry...always seems to have some around here. Amazing how much there is even with 3 people and bedding and towels! Washing, drying done then the laundry can sit there for a few days til it finally gets folded, which I don't like but....life goes on! Hope you get better soon! No fun feeling yucky for days. Stomach flu and people coughing are happening here. Weather cooling in the evenings which makes it good to sleep at night. Take care.

  3. Great to hear you're feeling better! Just don't try to overdo at either work OR home. Don't forget those naps! The 15 minute ones are not called "power" naps for nothing. Nail polish looks pretty but I really like the graphics you find. They add to the....spirit (?) of your blog.
Pamper yourself for a few more days....

  4. Hoping you feel good enough to go back to work. The door decoration is pretty, as are your nails with that color.

  5. Kathy, I sure hope you get well soon. No fun being sick...and having the boss all huffy about it doesn't help either. Like the polish. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
