Time is just moving so quickly. The weeks seem to melt away like a snowflake brought into a warm house. I can't believe it is Friday already and only four more weeks of my working experience. Not that I will never work again. I expect to have a little part-time job down the line. But I have to get my health back first.
Today is my day off since I am working on Saturday and I am hoping to get some Christmas things done. I don't know about the rest of you, but I just have no Christmas spirit this year. Even watching my movies and listening to my music and doing my Advent calendar and lighting the Advent wreath at church has not put me in the mood. I just want to sleep all the time. Maybe if I get some cleaning done and some decorations up and some gifts bought and some cookies baked, I will feel better.
I finally gave in and installed Windows 10 on my computer last night. I have heard so many horror stories about it that I was nervous about doing it. But I had so many pop-up windows and it got to the point where I was having trouble doing anything because of all the "Do you want to install now?" screens. So far it's been fine and I sort of like it. I think I was worrying about it for nothing.
Yesterday was another slow day at work. I took an hour and trained Bob and Doug on how to do the supply list and various other things. They are asking lots of questions which I am very happy about. The more they know, the better. I told the people at work that I am only a phone call away and not to hesitate to call me if they need to know something, but they all say they want to learn it and know how to do it themselves. I'm glad. They have many years in front of them to work for the library and the more they know, the better it will be for them. I can't believe they have worked for the system for so long and no one ever trained them in so many basic things.
I am also cleaning off my desk and am amazed at what I am finding. I wish I had done this a year ago. Of course my desk looks beautiful now. I had no idea I had so much useless stuff sitting there.
I was thinking yesterday that I am now ready to leave and stay home. I don't think I was even three weeks ago, but I am now. A new year, a new life and as I mentioned was said in one of the movies that I watched, "The party of life is just beginning."
I have to get a fasting blood test this morning. Why is it that any other morning I could care less about eating breakfast but tell me I can't and I want to put everything in my mouth? The power of suggestion I guess.
So I'm back to Christmas movies in my movie a day list. Yesterday it was "Santa Switch" (2013). Really cute, but predictable.
Today it is one I've been looking forward to seeing, "Ice Sculpture Christmas" (2015). It has been promoted on the Hallmark channel as the great new movie for this season and it really is. I am so enjoying it.
And for today's Christmas picture, I have a really cute one for you.
I am going to go start my day. I hope to get a lot done and have some great pictures to show you tomorrow. Hope you all have a wonderful day today.

Kathy, Your time is really going quickly. You are right, get your health back first thing. Then you can enjoy your retirement. I wish you a great weekend, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteLove both the pictures! I agree. get your health back. As for today? Do what you can. Sometimes a little cleaning, straightening & a few decorations can change your whole perspective.
ReplyDeleteWhen you don't feel well, its hard to get in the spirit of things.
ReplyDeletePraying you feel better soon!
