GOODBYE SEPTEMBER

Hello, friends!  Here it is the last day of September and I just do not know where the time has gone.  As long as the month of July seemed, that's how short August and September have been.  It is as if I just blinked and it was gone.

Sorry I have not been around much this month.  I am facing a lot of health problems and have been spending my time in doctors' offices and testing sites.  And it continues on.

But let's look at some of the things that happened this month.

I celebrated the first of September with my annual dinner of spare ribs.  They were so good and I have been thinking about them ever since.  I think I will have to buy another package when I go to Shoprite this coming week.

I started to clean up the yard, but didn't get very far.  I did get most of the patio done, so that was something.

I had an eye doctor appointment and fortunately nothing has changed.  My eyes will never get better, but at least they aren't getting worse.

And then Joe bought me a beautiful bouquet.

A

Labor Day was rather low key.  We didn't do much at all.

And then there was the remembrance of 9/11.  Always a somber day.

But then there was the news that my biopsy came back cancer free.  Good news!

Following that was my 14th wedding anniversary with Joe.  We had the best meal from our favorite restaurant Yamato.

So far we have gotten six large tomatoes out of our garden.  This is the most we have had in years.  And there is still more out there.  But they are all green.  I am pulling them off as they get large enough and bringing them in to ripen.  It is not warm enough now for them to ripen on the vine.  There are still new flowers on the vines!

I made a good pumpkin and sweet potato soup.  I will have to do that again.  And to end the month I had a couple of fall shopping trips.

How has your month been?  Tomorrow when we wake up it will be October.  So very hard to believe.

Hope you all have a great evening.

Kathy

  1. Gosh Kathy, One day it was the 1st of Sept...then it was today..or so it seemed. LOL. I just felt Sept went very fast. The past two days have been almost cold. But I am not turning on the dang heat. It is nice not having anything using up power. LOL. I hope you get some good reports on your tests Kathy...in the mean time take good care. Blessings to you and Joe, xoxo, Susie

  2. Yes, it does just seem as if you were just saying goodbye to August and now September has whooshed off, too.

I hope all the tests and doctor visits result in some helps for feeling much better. My eyes were giving me fits after the chemo. I am taking an Andrew Lessman formula....Ultimate Eye Support. Marked improvement for me.

Happy October...your fence is so cute. If all else fails with ripening tomatoes...there's always fried green ones...do you like them?

  3. It is hard to believe September is gone, and a brand new calendar for October on my refrigerator. I live by that calendar. October is our "Birthday Month". Our son, grandsons, daughter in law, and a few more I can't recall as I type...Need to look at the calendar again. Sorry about your eyes and they will not get better. I have beginning clacoma and use drops every night. So far it hasn't gotten worse. Happy Anniversary. Marriage to the right man is a wonderful thing. If we make it to June 2021 we will celebrate "60". God bless.

  4. It does seem as if Sept just whooshed by! Hopefully all tests will come back with resolvable results. I like your 'list' of what you accomplished. Sometimes seeing it as a list makes one realize how much was actually done! That cabin looks so cozy.,zzz

  9. Glad no cancer in body and hopefully it stays that way. I trimmed branches off a tree in lawn and put them and ones that fell off into yard debris bin. Dry smokey air has caused leaves to fall a bit earlier than normal, me thinks. Roof of garage seems covered with them. Praying you start feeling better soon !๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜
