It's coming fast. I'm glad I have already begun to buy some gifts. I don't think anyone is getting a lot this year, but it's the thought, not the amount of dollars spent, that counts. I would rather have a plate of cookies from someone who cares about me than a new computer system from someone who treats me badly the rest of the year. I'm sure you all agree!
I woke up at 2:30 a.m. and I can't get back to sleep so I thought I would take advantage of this time to write. I'm starting to get sleepy now so maybe when I am finished here I can go back to sleep.
Only Debbie and I showed up for Bible study yesterday. But we didn't let that stop us. We began on the 7 churches of Revelation and talked about Ephesus and leaving our first love. It's true about so many things in our life. We are so enthusiastic at first, but that ardor cools. But it should not be so, especially not in our spiritual walk. It was a good study.
We stopped at the library on our way home from the study. Debbie had some books to return and I had some plastic bags for them. But you know me, and I got two books out. I'm a sucker for a library. Like I don't have a million books to read here! And I don't have time to read anyway.
I brought home the little ceramic pumpkins that I had gotten for Harvest Day. They are now residing on my stairway and will be there through Thanksgiving. They look so nice with my black cat collection.
Oops. I think I will have to sweep down the steps today. White cat fur all over the place!
I had the fire on today too.
I made dinner last night but Joe said he was too sick to eat and went to bed. He felt great earlier, but now not so much. I really think he needs to go back to the doctor. I'll see how he feels when he gets up today.
And that's it for now. I am going to feed Snowy and see if I can get a little more sleep before the day begins. If not, I will have to take a nap in the afternoon or I'll never stay awake through Bible Study tonight.
Hope you all have a great day today.
Kathy

The pumpkins look so cute with the cats! Sorry you woke so early. Enjoy your nap!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbie. I decorate with black cats and pumpkins for Halloween. No witches, ghosts and goblins for me. I thought this looked really cute.
DeleteThose black cats are ADORABLE and look great with your pumpkins. Hope you were able to get back to sleep and that Joe feels better. Not good that he feels too sick to eat. Have a good bible study tonight- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThe black cats are from Lenox. They come out with one a year. I think the series is finished, though, because I haven't seen a new one for quite awhile. But that's OK because 5 is enough. And the pumpkins are $1 from Target. Just shows that expensive and cheap can look good together.
DeleteThat cat collection is so nice! Nothing like that would ever last here the way my kids romp and go on! I hope you were able to go back to sleep and that Joe is feeling better! Have a great upcoming weekend my friend. I miss talking to you!
ReplyDeleteI'm about to head for bed. Am tired, slow afternoon at the hardware store...so thankful today was my Friday! I've got a couple things out for the fall but not much. Now am thinking of getting a blanket for the couch that's Christmas colors to change the theme later. Not sure if I really need another blanket in our house. There's so many. Rain and wind are here, I can hear it. Happy weekend, my friend!
