OCTOBER PHOTO CHALLENGE #5 -- PEOPLE

I slept about 1 hour last night.  I was up all night coughing, choking, gasping for air.  I stayed downstairs on the sofa so that I wouldn't disturb Joe and so that I could sit up.  And I did and watched lots of TV.  I'm almost caught up on everything I've recorded.  This afternoon I just couldn't keep my eyes open and actually managed to sleep for three hours.  I feel so much better.  Tomorrow I am supposed to return to work.  I will, but it is not going to be fun.  Fortunately it's my early day so I will be home by 6:30 p.m.  I don't have much of a voice, so I am going to put myself on the desk as little as possible.

Joe is coughing a lot too.  He took a dose of cough medicine and seems to be sleeping quietly now.  I hate when we are both sick together.  I want to take care of him, but am too sick myself to do so.

Obviously neither of us got to church this morning.  And it was World Communion Day too.  I'm disappointed, but that's how it goes. I am going to try to teach my Bible study on Tuesday, but we'll see how that goes.

The photo challenge today is "People".  Obviously I have not been around a lot of people lately.  So I am going back to last Memorial Day and show you the Civil War Re-inactors that marched in the parade.  It looks as if you have been taken back in time.

It is so cold today.  It has gone down into the 60s.  I have the fire going to take the chill off of the house.  Old brick houses hold the cold.

Heading out to get something for dinner.  I think it's going to be left over soup.  Still hungry, but getting sick when I eat.  Well, at least I've lost 3 pounds this last week.

Linking up with Kaitlin at Homemaker Design for this photo challenge.

  1. glad you finally got some sleep. You sound like you have what's been going around. Megan is not coughing as much. Pill for of cough medicene is working for her and the humidifier at night. That might help you as well. People today included lovely children that we taught in Bible school, 3rd service. Get some needed rest, drink your orange juice and praying that both of you get better each day! Hugs!

  4. My kiddos have been complaining this evening of the "stuffy nose"... and well, I know what's coming. I gave them medicine and tucked them "early" tonight... I think it took an hour for them to fully settle down. I don't which is worse. Try and fail to get to bed early in hopes for a good night sleep and can't or fail to get to bed at regular time and fall asleep right away because they're so tired...

Continuing to pray for you and your husband. Get better, please!!

  5. It really sounds like a touch of flu, or bronchitis. It is too long that you have not been holding foods done. You need to keep hydrated.

  8. It's good that you have lost three pounds but not that you are feeling ill. That is a nice photo that you posted.
Have a nice evening if you can. I hope you feel a lot better in the morning. It's miserable to be ill.
    Hugs...do get well!
