This is being posted late. Tuesdays are my busiest days and I don't always get a chance to post. Yesterday was no exception.
It began with me teaching Bible Study in the morning. We began the book of Jonah. God has been impressing this book on me so much lately that I felt as if I just had to teach it. I'm probably going to learn more than the other ladies. It usually happens that way. I had studied the lesson and felt prepared. But being Monday night I was so tired I decided to print out my notes and the handout on Tuesday morning. Well, Tuesday morning the printer decides it is out of ink and refuses to print. Anything. Any color. I tried changing the print to blue instead of black, but no luck. So I look up the lesson online on my Kindle and decide to take that over. That worked out just fine until I tried to go to page 2. The wifi at church was turned off. So I was able to read the introduction with all the dates and background, but the lesson itself was nil. I just winged it. It came out OK, but I think I will go over it again next week with the proper questions.
After that I went to work until 8 p.m. Being the day after a holiday you know it was busy. Way busy. By the time I got home, I was beat. Joe ordered a pizza which I really didn't want. I am not a fan of pizza like he is. So I ate the half of my hoagie I had left from Sunday.
I wanted to watch "19 kids and Counting" which is probably my favorite show. I sat down to watch it, got through most of it, and fell asleep on the sofa. When I woke up, I just went right to bed instead of writing this post. So that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it.
So Tuesday's photo challenge was "Something You Made". I had a hard time with this. I make lots of things. Do I show you my knitting? Crocheting? Cooking? Cross-stitch? Sewing? What??? I finally decided to show you my Christmas afghan that I crocheted. One winter (I guess about 10 or 12 years ago) I decided to use up all the odds and ends in my yarn stash. I began crocheting a lot of ripple afghans. I made a green one, a purple one (which Joe has claimed as his), a red one, a blue one, a multi-colored one (with all the odds and ends) and this red, white, and green one which I did buy some Christmas mix yarn for to make it for the holiday. Of course little Snowy has to be in the picture. She always wants to be near me.
Now it's off to get ready for work. I'll try to post later with today's photo challenge.
Linking up with Kaitlin at Homemaker Design for this October photo challenge.

ReplyDeleteBetter late then never! Even I missed a day!!
ReplyDeleteLovely afghan! I think I might try to learn to crochet this winter - I too have many hobbies, but I keep seeing things on Pinterest that I like and they are all crochet -so...maybe time to learn?!?
You know... that is something I've never learned to do! My mom... on the other hand... Yes!
ReplyDeleteI wish she would have taught me some basics or something..
Love the colors! Of course Joe took the purple one.....isn't he the king of the house? Ha ha! I would take the red. Sorry to hear about the printer...technology can be a pain,ya think? Hopefully I can get to Bible study
ReplyDeleteso I can play catch up. I love that Snowy lends a helping paw....how sweet!
