I went back to work today. I wasn't 100% but I am feeling better. It was a good thing I went in because Diane was out sick today. Liz is still somewhat sick too, although not as bad as I am. We blame the kids. Bob is totally untouched. He says the germs do not like his manly body. Ha, ha!
I am still coughing, but not as much. I think I am finally on the mend. The doctor in the hospital said it would take a week before I started feeling better and it is a week tomorrow. That's one smart doctor.
I am going to try to do Bible Study tomorrow. We are finishing up the book of Acts. It's been a great study and I have really enjoyed teaching it. I think I will just buy the snack. I don't think anyone would want to eat what I cook at this point.
The topic for today's photo challenge is "I'm Thankful For...". What am I NOT thankful for? After almost dying three times, I am thankful for every moment of my life, every breath I take.
I am thankful for my home, for having food to eat, my car, my job, my health. I am thankful for being cancer free for seven years.
I am thankful for my wonderful husband that God has given to me.
I am thankful for my three sisters and six brothers. We all get along and I can't remember the last time we had a fight. It must be over 40 years since we fought -- when we were kids (and all kids fight).
And I am thankful for my church family. They are the best.
I am thankful for my pastor, his wife and their daughter, Miss A. Beside being the sweetest baby ever, she gives me hope for the future.
But mostly I am thankful for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who loved me enough to die for me. I don't have a picture of Jesus, but I will share with you one of my favorite pictures of the church I attend. This was taken right around Easter time when the dogwood tree was in bloom.
Thank you, Kaitlin, for this topic. It made me realize just how many things I have to be thankful for.
