DOLLAR STORE FINDS

Is this the last day of summer?  Or is it tomorrow?  Since fall begins at 9:45 p.m. on Saturday maybe tomorrow is the last DAY of summer.  I'm going to go with that anyway.  It is still warm here (sometimes hot) and no leaves are changing color so it's still summer to me.

Yesterday I had to go to Dollar Tree for some supplies for church.  We are having our annual Harvest Day picnic on Sunday and a denominational conference on Saturday.  While Joe and I were there, I spotted these dishes.  I was just going to get the bowls.  Or just the mugs.  But we ended up buying the whole set.  Well, for $6 we got a set of fall dishes for us.  Look how pretty!

Plates:

Mugs:

Bowls:

And they're heavy china too.  Not plastic.

They are in the dishwasher now getting nice and clean.  I can't wait to use them.

  1. Pretty fall dishes! You will enjoy using them. I am terribly confused about fall this year. Therefore, I’ll adopt your thinking on the matter. 🙂

    1. I don't go to Dollar Tree very often because I always end up buying more than I expected to. As my sister-in-law says, "It's only a dollah!"

    1. Susie, aren't those dishes pretty? And only $1. I think we are done with the hot weather. Temperatures in the 60s are predicted for next week.

  4. Never know what you will find for $1! They are so pretty. It feels pretty good here on my porch this morning and I'm seeing some color in our trees. Never ready for summer to end but I'll get there :)

    1. Doris, you are so right. Dollar stores are my downfall. I'm not ready for summer to end either, but I guess we have no choice. LOL.

  5. Wowsie! What pretty Fall dishes. You're going to enjoy using them. I love the colors on them. I'm ready for Fall as long as the temps stay comfortable. Some trees around here have already been turning colors. Not the ones in my yard though. They will wait a while longer. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

    1. I don't need them and have no where to put them but I got them anyway. I'll only use them for 8 weeks and then they get packed away until next year. I am not looking forward to the cooler weather.

  9. Those are nice dishes. I went to Dollar Tree in Newport cuz I needed a birthday card. They now have Hallmark cards. Of course I look around too and bought another set of hair clips as a back up set. Our leaves are changing colors and cooler evenings too. Have a blessed week!
