JOE'S BIRTHDAY

Today was Joe's 56th birthday.  It was a low-key day which is just what he wanted.  The day started with pets for the cats...

...and a large mug of coffee.

He said he wanted cinnamon french toast for breakfast, so that's what he got.

This afternoon I made Joe a cake for his birthday -- chocolate with whipped cream and strawberries.

This evening we went to Cracker Barrel for dinner with Walt and Carole.

I love the lights they have on each table.

Then we came back to the house for birthday cake.

It turned out really good.  I had ice cream too, but we were all too full.  All in all it was a really nice day.
