FRIDAY VIEW -- THE EASTER CACTUS

Remember a few weeks ago I showed you a picture of the bud on my Easter Cactus?

It got bigger.

And bigger.

Until finally the other day it bloomed.

I have had Christmas cacti in the past which were pink and bloomed around ChristmasI have even had pink Easter cacti which bloomed around Easter.  But this is the first yellow one I have ever encountered.  And it blooms toward the end of March each year.  I love it.

  1. Kathy, That is amazing. I am just not good with house plants...cause I always had to have some place the cat wouldn't nibble on them....then I would forget to water. Now I have no cats....not planning on ever having any more pets. So maybe this shamrock I bought will make it to next year.LOL. xoxo,Susie

  4. That is the very first yellow Christmas Cactus I have ever seen. Fushia is the only color I have owned.
REALLY pretty and just in time for Spring! I am so pleased you liked the cookie jar..and hey..you DO know me! LOL However, this is one year I just might not get it all done. I need to scale down anyway.
    Isn't Springtime wonderful?

  6. I didn't know there was an Easter cactus. Will have to look for it but then again, no, since there's no place to put it. Have a good week!
