SAYING GOODBYE

Many of us have tons of blog friends.  Seldom does a blogger pass over into being a real friend.  But that has happened with several of my blog friends.  One of them was Mona.  She was the sweetest lady and besides blogging she would write me long letters in the middle of the night when she couldn't sleep.  We shared our lives with each other knowing that we would keep the secrets and share the joys.

Today Mona's son wrote on her blog to let us know of her passing from pancreatic cancer.  The world needs more Monas and her death will leave a large hole.  Rest in peace, Mona.  You had a hard life with many losses.  I hope you are finally able to rest with your loved ones now.

I will be back later with my usual post.

Kathy

  4. Kathy- I am so sorry to hear this. I, like you, really connected with Mona and have several wonderful emails from her over the years. She had lots of sadness in her life but lots of happy times, too. I sure will miss her. xo Diana

    1. Some blogs I read, enjoy the posts, comment and that's it. Others, like you, I connect with and write letters, send cards, gifts, etc. Mona was one of those. You are right, the grief is real. But so much more for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

  9. I'm so very sorry for the loss of your dear friend. I've lost two blogging friends who were so dear to me. One I had met in person and the other lived in Spain. The void they leave in your life is real. Those of us who believe, though, know there is a better place and that we will all be reunited one day. Hugs.

  10. Very sad indeed! My mother passed from that same awful disease. As much as we miss those who have gone before us, we wouldn't wish them to come back. God be near all who are missing her today!

  11. This was very sad. I remember Mona and her love for her family. A dear friend passed recently from this and so I know that Mona is in a better place in Glory.

  12. Sorry your friend Mona died but good memories of her thru letters she wrote you. I write letters occasionally too but many lately. I have a blogger I've not heard from in awhile as their house caught fire awhile back. Total loss but family got out safely. Hopefully she'll return. Take care and prayers for you in this sad time. Hugs!

  14. I didn't know Mona; I'm sorry to read about her passing away from Pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic is a beast of a cancer, everyone is different but I understand some of what she must have gone through. That is what my beloved passed away from after a 20 month struggle of 'fighting the good fight' with this dreadful disease. May she and her family be at peace and all those who knew and loved her. God's Blessings, Jenny
