It's time for another Rockwell Wednesday. Here's one of Norman Rockwell's paintings that I have never seen before. And it's done so well, I thought it was a photograph.
Many of Norman Rockwell's illustrations honored the dedication and sacrifice of America's military personnel. During World War II, particularly, he used his skills to help unite citizens behind our armed forces.

I DOES look like a photo...very nice and perfect for this week. I hope Joe is healing and feeling better every day. Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteKathy, I have always loved Rockwell's art. I have never seen this . I have a big book of his art that my daughter gave me for Christmas one year. Hope Joe is feeling better. We are still have warm temps...but snow is in our weekend forecast. Blessings to you and Joe, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteLove your posts on Norman Rockwell. I think I might have commented before that I inherited many from my MIL. Figurines, an extensive ornament collection, and plates. Thanks for sharing this information.
ReplyDeleteI thought of your posts when I saw a Norman Rockwell print at the Dr office this morning. Yes, I was there again because I'm sick :(
ReplyDeleteHope Joe is healing and getting stronger everyday!
I would of loved to have Norman for a grandpa! He seems so caring.
