Isn't this an awesome picture? I would love to walk down the path and see where it led. I used to do a lot of hiking along paths just like this one. I really miss not being able to walk long distances. Walking 5 miles was nothing to me once long ago.
I woke up this morning feeling pretty good. I made out my "to do" list while it was still dark and then looked out the window to see the sun rise. This is what it looked like at 7 a.m.
I love this time of day with the whole day of endless possibilities laid out before me. It gives me a good feeling.
After breakfast and watching some vlogs I headed out to the yard to finish it up. Well, as much as I could today. And I took some pictures to show you.
I put up the garden flag for November. I think it's so cute and colorful.
The scarecrow is watching over my lone blooming geranium.
So pretty. I hope it lasts through the winter.
The new bird feeder. It was full to the top yesterday. I haven't seen any birds, but Joe said there were a lot of them yesterday afternoon.
The table and chairs are finally set up. I want to get some flowers for the little planter.
You can tell it rained yesterday. The patio is now set up as a sitting area. I still have some cleaning up to do, but it's coming along. Just a few more broken pots and trash to throw out and the hose to take in for the winter. I'd like to leave it this way for next summer and get an indoor/outdoor rug to put out. It would be a great place to have a glass of iced tea and read a good book.
After doing all of that, I got myself lunch, laid down and slept the entire afternoon away. I guess I'm not entirely well yet. But at least I got something done. And the rest will still be here for me tomorrow.
Here are the last three Fall Harvest movies I watched.
"Pumpkin Pie Wars" (2016) -- Ten years ago, Faye and Lydia each opened their own bakeries in Emeryville, Ohio, after a personal and professional fall-out during a local Pumpkin Pie contest. Now their children, and co-workers, Casey and Sam, are set to carry on the rivalry as they go head-to-head in the same contest.
"Love By Chance" (2016) -- Claire, an ambitious pastry chef, is busy running her new restaurant, but her meddling mom is preoccupied with her lack of love life. Without her knowledge, Claire’s mother finds her the perfect man, but when Claire finds out it wasn’t fate that brought them together, it could ruin the relationship
"Summer Villa" (2016) -- A romance novelist with writer’s block and a celebrity chef suffering from a bad review accidentally end up staying at the same French villa for the summer. As they attempt to share the house and mend their personal lives, they find that what they’re really missing is more of a personal matter.
Oh no! I'm back to food movies! I had no idea until I started doing this that I watched so many movies about FOOD! I just have to laugh. I guess I really am a foodie.
Although that is the last of the autumn movies (except for a few Thanksgiving ones), I have watched 27 Christmas movies so far. See what being sick and laying around can do for you?
It is very late and I have to run. I will be back later.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbie!
DeleteLOL- I have a new name for you. I am going to dub you The Movie Queen! lol I love that you give us a little synopsis of each movie. That first picture is just gorgeous and I would love to walk it, too.
ReplyDeleteI am like you- I love the early morning when the whole day spreads out before me and I the possibilities seem endless. xo Diana
Thanks, Diana. LOL! This time of year is the only time I actually watch movies. For 10 months of the year I don't look at them at all. I don't know why this has become a seasonal thing. I guess I'm just strange that way.
DeleteYour fall photo is so lovely. So far we haven't seen brightly colored trees. They do look better with the sun shining on them. This year the leaves haven't had the bright colors as other years. You really did do a lot of work. You deserved a nap after all that. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing weong eith pampering yiurself and watching holiday movies when you are not feeling well...or even when you are! We don't subscribe to any cabke services, so I scour Netflix for holiday themed movies. The fall scene is lovely.
