On Saturday we had our second annual Ladies Brunch at church. Last year when Genny and I decided to do something fun with the ladies of the church we were hoping this brunch would become an annual thing. So I was very happy that we had our second brunch this year.
I had gone to church on Friday afternoon to decorate. It was very simple, but I thought looked very nice.
I was a little late getting to the brunch. It was the same day as Joe's birthday and I had made him breakfast in bed. But I was only about 7 minutes late so it wasn't too bad. Everyone had begun to eat by the time I got there though.
Our very talented Dorothea made all of the food. There were scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fried potatoes with cheese and french toast casserole. On the other table there were the beverages, a fruit salad and rice pudding she had made along with lemon blueberry bread that I had made. Everything was delicious!
All the ladies enjoyed it and we all enjoyed each other's company too.
After we finished eating I introduced our guest speaker, Vonnie Allen. She is the wife of one of our denomination's pastors and a great speaker. She spoke on finding peace in the midst of life's storms. It was a great message. I was so glad she was able to come.
It was a wonderful day. Don't worry about the guys being left out, though. Next month there's the Men's Breakfast.

The food sounds delicious! Sorry I missed this as who can't use help in stormy times? Glad all had a good time.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you missed it too. The food was great and so was the speaker.
DeleteHow nice!! Looks like your event will continue as one looked forward to each year!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Terri! I sure hope so.
DeleteHow nice to get together for brunch and even nicer to have an inspiring speaker! Hugs
ReplyDeleteThanks, Diane. It was a really nice day.
DeleteLooks like a wonderful event. It takes a lot of time to plan and put something like this together. I'm sure your church is as thankful as anything for you !
ReplyDeleteIt was great. I had very little to do with it this year. Others took over for which I was very thankful!
DeleteThe bulletin board is great, with the map and verse!
ReplyDeleteLooks like it IS going to be an annual event.
Way to go!
That was left over from the Missions Month dinner. I left it up because I thought it looked good. I took it down today and put the forsythia wreath back up. That looks good too.
DeleteI love how you ladies get together! Wish I could join you!
ReplyDeleteYour church has the nicest programs. You are a big instrument to getting the programs going in your church and what a blessing you are to them. I am sure this Brunch will continue.
