The weather today was crazy... sun, clouds, snow, sun, clouds, snow. We got just a dusting. Nothing to be concerned about. But I would look out of the window and it would be bright sun. Then it would cloud up and snow. As soon as I would go to the window to look at the snow it would stop and the sun would come out again.
I have been putting out seed for the birds. The squirrels seem to like the sunflower seeds that fall out of the feeder. My brother Larry has set up in his yard a few feeders for the birds and a red wagon with seed and peanuts for the birds and squirrels. He posts lots of pictures of them. He calls his yard "The Cafe." Now that he and his wife Kim have moved, he is setting up a new one -- the new Cafe. So when I saw all the excitement at mine I decided to call it "Kathy's Cafe."
The squirrel in the tree.
Hi little squirrel!
Lots of sparrows.
Looks like the squirrel found a sunflower seed.
Look how polite these sparrows are. They are all lined up to take their turn at the feeder.
And here's a little video I made for you.
Thank you to everyone that was concerned about my health. I was concerned too! But after a good long sleep I was feeling much better and today I am feeling fine. I don't know if it was MSG, salt, or the sweetened iced tea, but I'm betting it was the tea. I've eaten there for years and never had a bad reaction. The tea tasted different this time so I think they sweetened it with Equal. Well, we will see since I am going back there this Saturday with my friends who want to take me out for my birthday.
I am still celebrating Chinese New Year. Tonight I made fried rice for dinner. I know what goes into my fried rice. It's all good. I know I want to make peanut noodles this week too. Maybe tomorrow for lunch.
Have a good night everyone.
Kathy

Loved your video! I need to learn how to make one on youtube! Yes, your little birds are very well mannered!
ReplyDeleteIt isn't hard to do a video on youtube, but it sure took me a while to figure it out. Just keep trying. The first thing is to get your own channel. I made mine private because I just use it to load things I want to put on my blog. Then I watched youtube videos on how to use it! Ha, ha1
Deletecould we have your recipe for fried rice?
ReplyDeleteSure, I'll be glad to give it to you. I'll include it somewhere this week on my blog.
DeleteLove your Cafe! I also feed sparrows & found they are very courteous, sometimes dropping something to the ground for those waiting there. It's peaceful just watching them. How come humans can't get along like that? Glad to hear you're feeling better.I like the street lamp!Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteI refilled the feeder last night so let's see who shows up today.
DeleteBeautiful pictures. Most people get mad about squirrels eating the bird feed, but hey! A squirrel has to eat, too. ;)
ReplyDeleteI've always loved squirrels. And why not eat what falls on the ground?
DeleteKathy, I love your pictures and the wee film clip. Make sure you get unsweetened tea and take along some sugar. We do not want you ill again. We had sunshine all day yesterday and today is cloudy and windy. Cold too. Seven weeks till spring...hot dog. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteI've learned my lesson. From now on I drink water. That's what I usually order at a restaurant but I felt like having iced tea. I'm really not supposed to drink any caffeine anyway.
DeleteCute video! I love that you are feeding the birds and squirrels! Glad that you are feeling better!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Terri!
DeleteHi Kathy and I'm glad to hear you're feeling better! The pictures of the squirrels and birds are wonderful! How nice of you to make sure they have food. Thanks for popping in to see me and Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
