The first month of 2017 is over. It seemed so long to me. But still I didn't get nearly enough done. There's always something to do when you own a house.
Here's my temperature afghan. You can see the three cold days when we were in the 20s in the gray stripe. Then there were the two 60 degree days in the light green stripe. But basically it was in the 40s as you can see by all of the light blue. The dark green stripes are the 50s and the dark blue stripes are the 30s. The white stripe is just to divide the months.
It will be interesting to see how this progresses.
One last look at our Breathtaking Views calendar page for January.

And we say goodbye to January. I wonder what February will bring.

The afghan is cool! I like the idea of the white stripe. January did have it's ups & downs. I agree,Let's see what February brings!
ReplyDeleteSome people don't divide the months, just let them run into each other. I thought I would add the white stripe. Either way it's unique.
DeleteIt is fun following your temperature afghan with you! February got here fast!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Terri. And February is going to be a busy month for you!
DeleteThe afghan is beautiful!! I can't wait to see the finished product. I didn't realize the colors were coordinated with YOUR current temperature. Beautiful! Keep going.
ReplyDeleteYes, that's why it's unique. Everyone who does a temperature afghan will have a different look according to what colors they choose and what their temperature is. I'm thinking of making one for 2016 since I will know all the temperatures and will be able to do it quickly.
DeleteI ended my January by being sick and into Feb as well. Some virus has got me good but better today. Don't know what tomorrow will be like but probably will stay home from work again. Had jury duty on Monday and glad I didn't get picked. Maybe today I'll start my knitting project.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you are sick. Hope you feel better quickly!
DeleteLove the afghan! I'm happy it's February....one month closer to Spring!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Doris! I'm ready for spring too.
DeleteKathy Your afghan is going to be so nice. I love the idea of it. 47 more days till spring after tonight. It was 41 today cold but nice. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteIt sure is interesting knitting it and figuring out what color is going to be next.
DeleteGlad to welcome February. January seemed long to me as well. Such an interesting concept your weather afghan...it'll be fun to compare the months and then presumably December will bring you to a bookend conclusion.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm thinking Vee. Reds and yellows in the middle, greens bordering that, and blues on the ends.
DeleteWhat a great idea to make that afghan according to temperature. I LOVE that idea!!!! It will be interesting to see how it turns out.
ReplyDeleteYep--January is gone- on to February and better days--ones that are closer to spring!!! xoDiana
I am loving the afghan and from all the comments everyone else is too!
DeleteYour colors have come out very beautiful in your temperature afghan! Hope you have a nice evening sweet lady! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteThank you, Diane. I'm having so much fun with this afghan.
DeleteI came all the way back to the beginning of the year to find the beginning of your temperature quilt. WHAT A GREAT IDEA! Each row representing each day, how awesome! Mine wouldn't have any gray or light blue unless he... froze, LOL. I would like to try this next year.
