THE TEMPERATURE BLANKET

Hello, friends!  Just a quick post to show you the latest on my Temperature Blanket.  I have it up to date as of yesterday.  Since I do the high temperatures of each day, I have to wait until the next day and then go to accuweather.com to see what the high was.

Here is the entire thing so far.

No more dark blue and navy colors.  A lot more purple, red and hot pink.  I like that.

Here is the section for March.  You can see the little dotted lines where the month begins and ends.  The red at the top is April.

Here I am three months in and I am still not sure I like the colors.  But I am not changing them at this point.  It still may look like a sunset by the time I am done.

Hope you all have a wonderful evening.  Come back tomorrow for a look at my garden.

WHAT'S BEEN GOING ON THIS WEEK

Hello friends!  I can't believe another week has gone by so quickly.  My days are so busy right now.  Let me tell you about this week.

Monday Joe and I went to the Nursing Home.  Pastor gave the message and I got to hear what I had missed on Sunday because I was teaching Sunday School.  After we were finished Rick, Joe and I went to the Ritz Diner for an early dinner.  The food is good there and the service exceptional.  We just enjoyed being together and having time to talk.

Tuesday I led the Bible Study.  We continued on in 2 Thessalonians 2.  It is a really interesting study.

Wednesday Joe and I joined Rick to see if any kids showed up for New Horizons (our youth group).  We hold it from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.  No kids were in sight.  So we were about to leave when four girls came in.  They were kids from down the street who used to be in my Sunday School class but I haven't seen in at least 18 months.  We played Uno and talked and they said they were coming back next week and maybe on Sunday.

By then it was too late to go home and get back in time for Bible Study so we ran over to Shoprite, ate dinner, and then went back to church.  Just Pastor, Joe and me but we had a good study.

Yesterday I finally had a day off but I spent most of it sleeping.  I'm tired and I'm not as young as I used to be.

Today I didn't wake up until 8:00 a.m.  I had to rush around getting ready to pick up Kathy and get to Crafters.  I got my temperature blanket caught up to yesterday while I was there.  I must take a picture of it tomorrow so I can show you.

As I was going to make dinner tonight, Joe said he was not feeling well, didn't want to eat, and went to bed.  I had a salad I had bought yesterday from Dominos so I had that.  It was good.

I have so much cleaning to do and soon!  This house is ridiculous lately.  I think that will be what I do while Joe and Rick go out visiting tomorrow.

One more cute picture for you before I get going.  Jack was sleeping in Joe's chair the other day and I just had to get a photo of it.  So adorable!  I don't think he knows he's a cat.

See you all later.  Have a good night.

CLOSING OUT MARCH

Hello, friends.  This year is just moving along, isn't it.  Welcome to April, one of my favorite months.  Winter is gone for sure even though there are some chilly days.  I've been able to wear a sweater instead of a heavy jacket lately.  And things in the yard are starting to blossom and leaf out.  I will be showing you soon.

But let's look at March.  In the beginning of the month we celebrated Fastnacht.  I love those doughnuts.  And even though I don't keep Lent, per se, I do enjoy Fat Tuesday.

After watching "The Great British Baking Show" I began baking.  Although I have fallen behind on the things I want to make.  I did make a lemon blueberry loaf and some blueberry muffins.  It's blueberry season so I think there is some more blueberry baking in my future.

And then there was Pi Day (3/14).  I ate pie.

Hmm.  Seems like the beginning of the month centered around eating desserts.  But there was a Saturday where Donna, Carol and I headed out to Lancaster County to Paradise Bible Fellowship Church to hear a speaker who had been raised in Nazi Germany.  If you didn't read that post, please do. (READ IT HERE)  It was a wonderful day.

St. Patrick's Day was fun, although low key.  And then came Spring!  How I love Spring!

But last week Joe and I got sick.  We had forced down time.  Fortunately we are much better this week.  Yesterday we went to the Nursing Home and then Rick went with us to Ritz Diner and we had an early dinner.  We haven't done that in a long time and it was fun.

And now I have to get ready to go teach the Ladies Bible Study.  It's another busy week and I don't know how much I will be blogging.  There just isn't the time anymore.  But I will try.

Until later...
