Once again it is time for our annual T-shirt Sunday. Every year on the Sunday before Labor Day we wear our church T-shirts to church. It's a lot of fun. Not everyone participated. Some people did not have a shirt and some had gotten rid of theirs when we were going to get new shirts. But there were plenty of people who had their old t-shirts on.
Kathy, People used to wear their jeans to the chapel at the sisters' academy. They just want people there and did not care what they wore. That's fun at times. Blessings to all of you, xoxo,Susie
We always wear jeans, t-shirts, shorts, etc. to church. Very few people dress to go to church. We don't care what people wear, just as long as they are there.

DeleteWhat a great idea! Church doesn't HAVE to mean Sunday best clothes any more.....although that's what I wear!
ReplyDeleteI dress up some weeks, but many times I just wear jeans.
DeleteA clever idea for your church. Looks like several wore them. Enjoy the rest of the evening.
ReplyDeleteWe've done this for about 8 years now. It's fun!
DeleteGreat idea! Isn't there a hymn that says "come as you are?" Love seeing all in their shirts.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful rest-from-labor day!
Yes, there is a hymn with those words. Glad you liked the pictures.
DeleteThat sounds like fun. The older people (older than I am) generally dress up, but we are a casual church as a rule.
ReplyDeleteThat's how it is in my congregation too.
DeleteLove the T-shirt Sunday, Kathy! Hope you have a great Labor Day- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThanks, Diana!
