IT'S BEEN A BUSY WEEKEND

And I've been busy!  Yesterday I got up early to be ready for the plumber coming.  Our heater still works... sort of.  But we desperately need to replace our old 30 year old one with a new one.  We have spent 4 months trying to get the money together to get it done and we finally have it.

With that out of the way the next thing was to take our baby Jenny to the vet to get her shots.  I have been a bad mommy and haven't taken her in 2 years.  Fortunately she had the three year rabies shot and she doesn't go out so she has not been in danger.  But I thought it was about time.  Debbie went with me and calmed her down because she was very distraught being in a carrier.  I think she thought we were getting rid of her and getting Oreo instead.  I also picked up my friend Donna's son Jim and his cat so the three of us went together.  Jenny was a very good girl.  When she got home she got some treats.
Jenny looks pretty mad here.  This was taken this morning and she's still not happy with me.
Yesterday I found some more of my Thanksgiving decorations.  Great time to find them, huh?  But I hung them up anyway.  I put the wreath on the inside of the front door and hung the Indian corn in the middle of the wreath on the outside of the front door.  That was just what that wreath needed.  It looks good.

After church today my friend, Carole, came over and helped me clean up the basement in preparation for getting the new heater.  We had a lot of stuff to move.  I ended up throwing out a huge bag of trash and recycling a bunch of stuff.  I also found a lot of things I was looking for.  There is still a lot of things to go through, but that will be for another day.  Slow and steady wins the race so they say.  At least it is neat and there is lots of room for the plumbers to work.

Another thing I did was finish a hat I made for my sweet daughter-in-law Christi.  Christi is starting chemo and knows she will be losing her hair.  We were talking and she said her aunt was making her a couple of hats.  I told her I would too.  So I just want to get a little box at work tomorrow and send it off to her this week.  I hope she likes it.  I'll be starting another one for her in a couple of days.  She's going to have a whole wardrobe of hats.  I am using the softest yarn I have to make it comfortable for her.

Please pray for Christi and also for Joe's sister Theresa who is in the ICU with pneumonia.  It never rains but it pours.

Well, off to make dinner now.  I'm having baked flounder and french fries, but I don't know what else.  A salad maybe?  Hmm...

Until later, have a great evening.
