Are you enjoying the summer as much as I am?  The weather has been wondrous.  It's warm but not hot and the humidity is low.  It's so nice outside.  But all of that is about to change in a few days.  Still, I'll take it while it's here.

On the Sunday after the Men's Breakfast we had a surprise at church.  One of the men in the church had bought flowers for the three of us who had worked on getting the breakfast together.  Dorothea the wonderful cook was one.  Carolyn, who helped wherever she was needed was another.  And I was the third.  We were all so surprised.

It was such a thoughtful thing for him to do.

I brought it home and put it on my coffee table.

They lasted most of the week but the hot weather really got to them and I don't think they did as well as they would have if it had been cooler.

It was totally appreciated.  (I love flowers!)

  1. A little thankfulness goes a long way.
Flowers are a perfect Thank You, anytime!

  2. How wonderful! Such kindness goes a long way to making someone's day. Bless such a sweet man.

  3. Kathy, That was such a kind gesture from the gentleman. The bouquet is beautiful. It's nice to be appreciated, isn't it? Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  4. Your flowers are beautiful and how nice of that man to bless you ladies with flowers!

  5. Very thoughtful indeed. Michele at Finch Nest once told me to put flowers to bed in the fridge every night to extend the life of a bouquet. It really works! Trouble is that there may be no room at the inn.

  6. How nice and it sure makes you feel special to receive flowers. Makes your house look pretty too! Hugs!

  7. What a nice gesture and a wonderful one to make you and your other 2 friends feel so appreciated. Kathy. The flowers looked lovely too.

  8. How nice! They are beautiful. I love fresh flowers too. I often have some in a white pitcher on the kitchen table.
Hope you are staying cool today....it's pretty hot out there!

Thanks for visiting. I love hearing from you. I often reply to your comments, so feel free to check back.
