TARGET THE MOON

This picture is so old-fashioned looking and just give you the warm fuzzies.  Christmas is almost here, friends.  I am so frazzled and not ready.  I don't think I've ever had such a stressful Christmas.  I want everything perfect and it's not going to be by a long shot.  I just keep plugging away, though.

Yesterday began my day by making pumpkin spice muffins for breakfast.  I had only 2 eggs in the house and used them both so I was so hoping they would turn out.  They did and they were so good!  I love making muffins for breakfast.

I had to go to Target to get some ink for the printer.  While I was there I decided to do the food shopping since it was a short list.  I found out, though, that a short list at Target costs as much as a long list at Shop Rite.  The food is so much more expensive.  But I was there, so I got it.

The Dollar Spot is always my favorite part.  There were so many cute things there.  I wanted to take a video and show it all to you but...  Where did all these people come from?  The place was packed.  Oh, come on.  It was a Wednesday morning.  Who packs out a store on a Wednesday morning?  Apparently retired people do since most of them were my age or older.

I got the food and the ink and nothing else.  I didn't want to leave Joe alone too long.  He is so much better, but not completely there yet.

Joe had a doctor's appointment at the VA Hospital yesterday but we couldn't go.  Why?  He lost his wallet.  We have looked all over the house for over 24 hours and have still not found it.  We know it is in the house.  We know it has not been stolen.  But where it is is anyone's guess.  We will keep looking.  He needs the cards in the wallet to get into the hospital and to see his doctor.  Please pray that we find it.

We ended up going to Bible Study last night.  Joe was supposed to teach, but wasn't up to it.  So Pastor Ralph took over for him.  We were late getting there because dinner was late.  Oops.  We were still looking for that wallet.

When we came out of church the moon was full and beautiful.  I tried to take a couple of pictures of it, but it didn't turn out.  They were all hazy and blurry.  But this morning when I went into the kitchen to make breakfast, there was the moon shining into the windows from the west.  Yes!  I grabbed my camera and got some great pictures.  Notice that the trees are now empty of leaves.  Last week they were gorgeous with color.  We had a wind storm and now they are bare.  I guess winter is here.

Yes, it is dark at 7:00 a.m.  But we are almost at the place where we will start having longer days instead of shorter ones.

So now I have to start my day.  Debbie and I are going out this morning to finish Christmas shopping.  We are headed to Walmart and One DollarZone.  If I can finish everything today, I will be one happy person.  When I come back I will attack the rest of the living room.  Hopefully there will be more pictures for you tomorrow.

Have a good day and stay warm.  It's not getting above the 20s here today.

    1. We gave tried everything. But with his epilepsy he doesn't remember to use those things or where he puts anything. We are always looking for things, but this is important and we have no idea where it is!

Have fun shopping. I was at Target on Lincoln Hwy yesterday....very full! I went in without a cart because I wasn't getting much and I was in a hurry. You know how that goes ;-) I should have taken a cart!!

    1. Thank you for praying. We have been praying too. I love the Target on Route 30. Once I was in Lancaster overnight and had forgotten some things. I went there to get them. It was surprising to me to see a lot of Amish shopping in there. I guess I never thought about where they would shop! You should always take a cart when you go into Target. :)

  3. I wish you a smooth, stress-free day, with the cheery VOILA!! of finding the escaped wallet. My resort is to the closet for "Which jacket did Chris wear last and forgot?" especially when the temperatures change so drastically from one day to the next.

I'm also at the "wading mud" stage in the preparations, but have promised myself to get the fudge kettle going soon as we have a bite of lunch. Just having ONE pan cooling on the counter speaks progress, and well----THERE'S FUDGE!!

I must say, whatever camera you're using, it's a BEAUT---those are like planetarium shots in their clarity.

Stay well and warm and unfrazzled, faraway friend.

    1. We already checked jacket and pants pockets. He obviously took it out and put it somewhere but we don't know where. I know it will show up sooner or later... hopefully sooner.

I have a point and shoot Cannon. Nothing fancy, but I can do a lot with it. Thanks I like the pictures too. I was standing in the kitchen and took them through the windows. Not bad, huh?

  4. Well, I hope the wallet turns up soon! Don't forget to check under the seats in the car!! Catholics pray to St. Anthony for his intercession to find what we lost. He usually comes through for us!! Give it a try!! Your moon photos are fantastic!!

  7. Your muffins look sooooo good! I should do that sometime. Your moon pictures are really good! I think that it is so hard to get a good picture of the moon. When I can't find something I tell the Lord that he knows where it is and would he please show me where it is. I really hope that you find it. That can be so frustrating.
