SO MUCH TO DO

I have so much to do today and what have I done so far?  I spent the entire morning putting the Christmas Cafe video together.  But it turned out beautiful and I am so happy with it.  Here is the link for it:

It is about 13 minutes long, but well worth the time to watch it.  You will get a taste of our 2 hour musical event.

The coffee table is almost cleaned off.  I can't wait to decorate it and show it to you.  There is no way I can get everything done in four days so Joe suggested we pack things away and put them in the cellar until the new year and then deal with all the papers and items we need to sort through.  I hate to do that, but in this case I think that is the thing to do.  Then since I am not working outside of the home I can take a certain time each day to go through things and get rid of them.  I figure I can throw more than half of what I have in here out.  How do we accumulate so much?

I have a few errands to run.  But first I will get myself a cup of hot chocolate to boost my energy.  Just to keep myself going you understand.  And I will put it in my favorite mug that my sister gave me for Christmas several years ago.  It is always my hot chocolate mug no matter what time of year it is.

Hot chocolate and marshmallows.  Yum!

All I want for Christmas is peace on earth and really cute shoes!  Actually I just want to find the mates for all my shoes.  Some people lose socks.  I lose shoes!

So as I said I have tons to do so this is a short post today.  Hope you have a good day and stay warm!

  1. Kathy, I think I accumulate "stuff" by saving something to read or re-read , or I think I need to pass it to others.. I have gotten to the point where I glace thru"junk " mail and then shred it. I don't think others need my junk or stuff. I am wishing you peace and happiness. This week will fly and Christmas will be right here and now. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. I have gotten to that point too, Susie. It's just getting rid of all the stuff I saved over the years to read. You are right, no one wants our junk.

  3. I hope that we both get it done! I enjoyed the video...bell ringers and everything! You have a lot of talented folks in your fellowship. (All I want for Christmas is a pair of decent boots.) As for why we accumulate so much...I think that for most of us, we're just trying to be frugal and it backfires on us. Pace yourself now...

    1. Glad you enjoyed the video. It was a lot of fun to experience it and a lot of fun to make the video too. I'm learning so much about putting things together.

  4. I think 'stuff' is overrated. I'm trying to stick to the 'haven't seen/used in a year' rule;
    out it goes! I'm only successful less than half the time. But it's something! Enjoy your cocoa!

  6. Kathy, we are so glad that you posted the video. We felt so much a part of your special service in the church. We now know what the church looks like and the people even though you had wonderful guests. The music was wonderful. Merry Christmas!
