VETERANS DAY

My family is a military family and has been since the Revolutionary War.  Probably before that also.  I am so proud of my family for being willing to put their lives on the line (and some of them not coming back).  So thank you to every veteran out there.

It was another beautiful morning.  I had so many plans for today.  But...

It seems as if I can do things only every other day.  Yesterday I was full of energy.  Today not so much.  I basically just sat around most of the day.

The one thing I did do was bake a loaf of orange cranberry bread this morning.  It turned out SO GOOD!  I could have eaten the entire loaf, but I restrained myself.

I watched the birds at the bird feeder as I ate breakfast.  They were having a good time.

And that was about it.  I'm still knitting on the shawl I'm making.  It's just about finished.  I'll probably end it tonight or tomorrow at the latest.  Then I'll take a picture and show you.  It's sort of a mismatch of yarn, but I was doing it to use up some of the enormous stash I have.  And it's for me, not a gift.

Last night Joe drank the drink that we got in the free things from Shop Rite.  I didn't try it.

He said it wasn't as good as Muscle Milk (which he loves and drinks often) but it wasn't bad and he would definitely drink it again.

Hard to see, but that's a thumbs up.

So now I will get off of here and make dinner.  I'm still not feeling well so it's an easy night -- hamburgers and fries.  Until later...

Kathy

  1. Good for you for using up some of your yarn, Kathy. I do that with fabric pieces, too. Try to use them up.
Have never had muscle milk so have no idea what it tastes like. That orange/cranberry bread looks REALLY good! xo Diana

    1. I'm tired of having so much yarn laying around. Better to use it.

I have never had Muscle Milk either but Joe likes it. It's some kind of protein drink with no dairy since both Joe and I are lactose intolerant.

The bread is really good. I will make it again!

  6. Kathy, I thought we were already friends, but something happened, so I added you back, and hope that is ok with you. The bread looks so good and orange/cranberry is probably one of my favorite. My husband uses Muscle Milk too and he loves it in milkshakes...he uses the powder so he can add to many things. Hope you are feeling better and having a good day. Linda

    1. Linda! I am so happy to see you. I couldn't find you after we became unfriended. (I don't know how that happened.) So glad you found me.
