I'M BACK!

The colors of fall are so beautiful and I am loving sharing these pictures with you each day.  All too soon it will be bare branches and snow on the ground.

I took the weekend off from blogging to rest and recover.  This horrible sinus infection finally caught up with me and I ended up sleeping most of the day Saturday and all day after church on Sunday.  I am feeling so much better today, but still tired.  I may sleep this afternoon away too.  But I wouldn't be sleeping so much if I didn't need it.  I think it is my body's way of repairing itself.  And better now than Christmas week.

So basically, I don't have much to tell you since I was ASLEEP the whole weekend.  I did finish knitting my shawl.  It is not as large as I would like, but I still have to block it and hopefully that will stretch it some.  I started on a scarf for my sister-in-law for Christmas.  I did a lot on it and then messed up.  I tried to rip out just the row I did wrong but three rows below also ripped out and then it started unraveling.  That's what happens with lace.  So it is no more.   But it's a quick and easy pattern so I will start over.  I need to get it finished by Thanksgiving so I can give my brother and sister-in-law their gifts.  It is the last time I will see them before Christmas.

I did have my first hot chocolate of the season the other day.  I just said I felt like having one what with watching all the Christmas movies and Joe went to the kitchen and made me a mug.  What a guy!

Joe is still feeling lousy.  I went to church yesterday, but he stayed in bed.  He is still taking his antibiotics so hopefully he will feel better by the time they are finished.

This is a busy week.  Ladies Bible Study on Tuesday, Bible Study and Prayer on Wednesday, Elders Meeting on Thursday.  But these are good weeks.  Can you believe next week is Thanksgiving?

So I am going to get off of here and get busy.  I have all the dishes and wash that I didn't get done yesterday waiting for me today.  And the cleaning that never gets done.  Until later...

  1. Those sinus infections just knock you for a loop. The one I just got over was horrible and took a second round of antibiotics to 'get' it. I still have absolutely NO sense of smell. Aggravating.
I sure hope Joe feels better soon and is well for the holidays. Poor guy. He sounds like a very sweet man-getting you the hot chocolate when you mentioned it. MOST men don't pick up on things like that.
Have a blessed (although be it busy)week. xo Diana

    1. I am so much better than last Tuesday when I went to the doctor. I see the light at the end of the tunnel. Fortunately I did not lose my sense of smell. That's awful. Joe is a gem -- most of the time.

    1. Oh, chicken soup. Good idea. I think I'll have it for lunch. It is lovely to not be working this year and having time to watch all these Christmas movies.

  6. You are probably napping =D so I'll tiptoe in and close the door quietly when I leave. I did not know that you were feeling so rotten...very good to know that you are feeling better now. Hope that everyone is feeling great for Thanksgiving Week!

  7. Glad you finished your shawl and hope you can share a photo of it. Glad you got some rest which I've needed badly since I stayed up too late Saturday night. Tonight I bought our son's family gift of towels and on sale. Just have a few more gifts and make calendars. Thanksgiving is next week which starts off the holiday season. Got my photo greeting cards ordered online Sunday. One less thing to do. Leaves of orange and yellow are so pretty. A few like that I see through doors where I work. Hopefully you all be well soon . God bless you both! 》
