THE THURSDAY GARDEN

OK.  I'm doubling up again.  But I just had to show you my garden.  It's so lovely.

Today it went up to 90*F. (32*C.).  It is 8:30 p.m. and still warm.  The weather forecasts say this is the beginning of a 3 day heat wave.  I guess summer is really here.  Well... unofficially of course.

Before I show you my garden I want to show you the front of my neighbor's house.  They always do it up so beautifully.  They may not have a front lawn, but that does not stop them.  And they are lovely people too.

So, anyway, here's the photos I took of my garden this evening.

My new garden flag for June.  I put it up a little early.  Isn't it cute?

The tomatoes are up.  Hooray!

My pot of Dusty Miller and Marigolds are growing like crazy.

My pink rosebush is blooming profusely.  So pretty.

My neighbor put lights up along his fence.  It makes our garden look so pretty too.

Here's the hosta.  It has gotten huge!

A close-up of the pink roses.

Only one iris bloomed this year.  I think they are overcrowded.

Chive flowers.

We just got a new back door and a new awning.

It's so pretty at twilight, although I did get a couple of insect bites.  I'm trying hard not to scratch them.
Early morning and early evening are the best times to be out there.  Otherwise it is just too hot.

Here's the end of a beautiful day.  Hope your evening is wonderful!

    1. I love the lights, but we have no place to plug them in outside. That's why I'm glad the neighbor does.
