IT'S BEEN A LAZY SATURDAY...AND I DO MEAN LAZY

I guess my body still isn't up to where it should be.  After a few busy days, it just closes down.  And that's exactly what it did today.  I have slept most of the day and I am ready to go back to sleep now.

I got up late today too.  I made up the church bulletins, looked at some stuff on the internet, watched a couple of TV shows and went back to sleep.  I woke up around lunch time, went to 7-11 and got something to eat, and went back to sleep.

When I woke up again, it was 9:15 p.m.!  Joe had made himself dinner and gone to bed.  (He's preaching tomorrow.)  I was so upset because I had a nice dinner planned.  AND we had planned to go to our friend's 80th birthday party.  I slept through everything.  I asked Joe why he hadn't woken me up and he said I needed the sleep.

The one good thing is that my back is feeling better.  I guess something good has to come out of sleeping through an absolutely gorgeous day.  I wanted to get my sunflowers planted today too.  *sigh*

I have to get myself together tomorrow because Joe and I are going away on Monday for most of the week.  There is the annual denominational conference in the Pocono Mountains at our camp/conference area.  I have not been to the Poconos in years.  It will be fun to get away.

No worries about Snowy, though.  She will survive with the help of her Aunt Carole who is coming to take care of her.  No leaving the house empty while we are away.  Carole spoils her so much that I sometimes wonder if Snowy even misses us when we're not here.

So I have to get a lot done tomorrow.  I need to get everything straightened up, all the dishes washed, the floors vacuumned.  I'd do a lot more if I had the time.  But maybe I'll feel better after a break.

Since it is a camp, there is no WiFi so you won't hear from me next week, but as soon as I get back get ready for picture overload.  We even have to bring our own sheets, pillows and towels.  I have never been to camp so it will be interesting.  I'll let you know.

  3. Glad you were able to rest. Phil was hurting after lawn mowing yesterday. We slept ok last night. I think I'll get my strawberries planted today. If it rains, I can do it in the garage! Hope your week goes well at camp. Hugs and blessings!
