GROUNDHOG DAY

Well once again it's Groundhog Day.
Well once again it's Groundhog Day.

Ha, ha!  One of my favorite movies is "Groundhog Day" where the day starts over and over and over.  So funny.  But I didn't get to watch it this year.

Here is the famous Punxsutawney Phil.  Poor little groundhog being torn from his home to predict the weather.  He didn't see his shadow today so there will be an early spring.  Hurray!

I already feel like winter is almost over and it was a very warm one.  We are supposed to have more snow flurries, but nothing to worry about.  Our snow is almost all gone.  I will have to take pictures of it tomorrow to show you.

I got the paper notarized today to get my handicapped parking tag.  We dropped it off to the State Representative's office on our way to South Philly to get Snowy her shots and some bloodwork.

Snowy is such a good cat.  And very sweet.  She cried a little on the way down and I found out that she definitely does NOT like for me to drive fast.  She was very scared when I was on I-95.  I took the long way home so I did not have to get onto the highway and Joe held her in her carrier on his lap so that she could see us and know she wasn't alone.  Oh the things we do for our cats!  She appears to be very healthy and is the perfect weight.  We will find out the results of the blood tests on Thursday.

I was so tired when I got home that I laid down and slept for 3 hours.  I was surprised when I woke up that I had slept so long.  The one good thing about being retired is that I can take a nap every day.

Joe changed out the shower curtains for me.  I'm so short that it's a real stretch (literally!) for me to reach the rod to hang them.  He picked these out.  I thought they would be really dark, but they're not.  I love them.

And now I am going to go back to sleep.  A lot to do tomorrow.

  1. I like naps! Glad it was just a checkup for Snowy. I like the curtain. It's black & white, isn;t it? In the hottest days of July or August, I do my bathroom in Black & white. It seems to make it feel cooler somehow. It's so basically classic that I feel like I'm in an expensive hotel or spa. Rain predicted, stay dry!
    Woof!

  3. We watch the Groundhog Day movie every Fab 2 and just did it again this week. This time we tried to count how many times the day repeated and got as far as #34. And you are right about being retired and being able to nap whenever you want and for as long as you want too!
