A LAZY SATURDAY

I got off to a slow start today, but did OK.  I started out by working on the church bulletin.  It underwent an evolution.  I reworked the entire thing and made a folded booklet instead of a full page sheet to hand out.  I changed fonts.  I moved clip art around.  I rewrote announcements.  And finally...  it looks beautiful!  I hope everyone else likes it as much as I do.  I have other ideas on things to do, but I have to run them by the elders tomorrow.

I finally got around to breakfast.  I've been using my new mug that my mother-in-law gave me for Christmas.  It's so cute.  I love the snowman.  I use it for my tea each morning.  At least for the winter.

I didn't get any cleaning done.  It seems to take me so long to do anything these days.  I guess I'm just still catching up with getting rested.  I did a lot of straightening up, though.  Things are slowly getting back to normal.

I made pizza soup and garlic bread for dinner tonight.  Joe is still not feeling well and wanted something easy to eat.  It turned out so good!  I got the recipe from my blog friend, Bonnie.  I'm so happy I tried it.  I will definitely make it again.

We had some left over and Joe gave it to our new next-door neighbors.  They were moving in tonight.  Kevin and Meredith.  I haven't met them yet.  Joe says he's a firefighter so we probably won't be having a lot of loud wild parties next door.

I haven't been keeping up with taking my sunset pictures too well.  But here's from yesterday.  Today looked about the same.  It's been very cloudy here.  No rain, just clouds.  And geese.  Lots and lots of geese flying over the house honking.

I still have some things to do before I go to bed.  Wash and dishes call.  So does a nice cup of tea.  Have a good weekend.

Kathy

  3. Your mug is cute! It certainly would make me smile in the morning.Isn't it interesting that something as simple as a mug can do that? People can make a difference in so many ways. You probably are catching up on needed rest. Enjoy it!

  4. Kathy, Your Joe must be as sweet as you are. Giving soup to people moving is wonderful. Oh you have a good citizen next door...that will be comforting. Blessings to all, xoxo,Susie
