MONDAY, MONDAY

First off, let me show you my Monday movie.  It was The Thanksgiving House.  You know Thanksgiving had to sneak in there somewhere.

I called the doctor's office as soon as they opened today.  My nurse practioner was not in so they gave me a referral to go get an x-ray on my foot.  I let work know I was on the way to the hospital and Joe and I took off.  We got there and the guy at the front desk asked me for my script.  I told him I didn't have one but the doctor's office had sent over a referral.  (I know the receptionist did because I heard the computer send it and she asked me questions as she did it.)  He had me call the doctor's office.  They assured me they sent it.  The guy looked around again, said they didn't have a computer system that did that (what hospital doesn't have internet?) and refused to let me in the room.  After 45 minutes of going back and forth, Joe and I just left.  Now I have to go to the doctor's office, get something in writing, and go back for the x-ray.

So instead of staying home, I went to work.  I find it's much easier at work since everything is on one floor and most of the time I just sit at my desk and do things.  Besides, I have people to wait on me.  Ha, ha!

My foot is better.  It is less swollen, but still hurts like anything.  I am now thinking it is my arthritis.  But that's why I need an x-ray.  Then I will go see a podiatrist.  It never ends, does it?

So that's my Monday.  What a way to start the week!

I did make an apple pie when I got home from work.  Does that count?  Well....   I cheated with canned pie filling and ready made crust.  But it's more than I've done in awhile.  I was talking to my friend from church, Genny, and she was making a pumpkin pie.  I told her we must be practicing for our Pie and Praise next Sunday.  I have to think about what kind of pie I want to make for that.

I have to run.  Tomorrow is the last Bible Study for the season and I have to get those papers run off.  Until later...

  1. Kathy, Honestly in this electronic age...it's a wonder we aren't all running around in circles and screaming. LOL. Maybe we need everything in writing again. Wishing you the best. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  2. I hope you got in today, Kathy. I never made it here yesterday. That is crazy that they didn't have an internet to get that referral. I don't believe that for one minute. He just didn't want to investigate-that's what I think.
Pie sounds good---way too good! lol xo Diana

  4. Sorry to hear your foot is still giving you problems. Doctor's offices can be a real pain. Hopefully you were able to get your X-ray today though.

Fill me in, what is Pies and Praise?

  5. Kathy, go straight to the podiatrist. He should be able to do an x-ray right in the office. Or an orthopedist. Hospital sounds like it is behind the times. Nobody has time for that.
