A HEADACHE, A STUDY AND A VOTING BOOTH

I woke up at 2 a.m. with a terrible headache.  I sat up for a little while and then turned over and went to sleep.  At 4 a.m. I woke up again and the headache was worse.  I moved my pillows and laid down again.  By 5 a.m. it was raging.  I guess it didn't like being ignored.  So I got up, took some aspirin, and sat up on the sofa with my head in my hands.  To take my mind off of the pain, I watched my movie of the day.  Today it was Hitched For The Holidays.

It was another cute Hallmark movie.  They are mindless romances which I usually don't like or even watch at any other time of the year.  Somehow I end up watching all of them this time of the year.  Go figure.

By the time the movie was over my headache was gone.  Then I got myself together for Bible study.  There is only one more week of study in Galatians and then we take a break until March.  It's just too hard to get together in the ice and snow, not to mention the holidays.  It's tough, too, to get going at 8 a.m. and then work until 8 p.m.  Next year will be easier since I won't have to run off to a job.  In fact, I am thinking of making it later -- 10 a.m. start time instead of 9 a.m.  I have had some ladies tell me that they would come if it was a later time frame.  And, of course, I can't do that now because of my job.

After I left I passed by the Recreation Center where I vote.  It wasn't busy, so I ran in there and voted.  Unfortunately (like always) everyone I voted for lost.

I then went back to the car, took Debbie to the bus stop, ran home and got myself ready for work.

The library is one of the local polling places so it was busier than usual.  People coming in all day to vote.  The kids were off from school today and were extra -- uh -- energetic?  They were all over the place, noisy, and so rude.  Like I told Bob today I really don't want to leave my job since I love it and I love the people I work with.  But I just can't take the kids anymore.

I didn't have time for either breakfast or lunch (just had snacks) so I was really hungry for dinner.  Since it was a late night, I had an easy dinner of burgers and fries.  But boy did it taste good!

And now it is time for bed.  Another busy day tomorrow.  I took the day off from work.  In the morning I am taking Joe to a doctor's appointment.  After that we are going to visit my aunt.  The place where she is living is having a Christmas bazaar and since I haven't seen her in so long I thought I would support the community and make a visit at the same time.  Then in the afternoon I am going to try to do some housework.  It all depends on my energy level.  It was pretty good today so I hope it is tomorrow too.  But it won't be unless I get some sleep.  See you tomorrow.

  2. Headaches can be awful! Glad yours left. I know what you mean about work. Wouldn't it be great if we could pick out just the good part? Ha ha! Because of voting,we had tv dinners. They were surprisingly tasty! (The Hungry Man were on sale for $1.99!)
I love bazaars! Hopefully you find something that'll make you smile!

  3. Kathy, Honestly I do not know what ever happened to being quiet in the library....I just read about it in our local paper too. Parents need to jerk a knot in their kids tails...as mommy used to say. LOL. I think all should be quiet or they should just have to leave....that is where security would come in. Nothing nastier than rude kids...Glad your headache was gone when you went to work. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  5. Honestly, this has been sitting "open" in my computer since before lunch! WHAT! I could have sworn I left you a comment earlier. Anyway----I am so sorry you have to deal with bratty kids in the library--when we were in school that was the ONE PLACE we were always quiet and respectful. Times have sure changed.
Glad you got rid of your headache, Kathy. Do you realize you have just over a month left before retirement?! Whoo Hooo...I feel a party coming on! xo Diana

  6. I never like waking up with headaches. I've learned a lesson that if I have a headache in middle of the night, it's up to take med and a bit of chips or crackers then back to bed! Glad your went away finally! I wish children were taught manners like they were years ago. It makes it harder when they become adults. Glad you like your job anyway! Always a plus and minus with our work! Hugs and have a good night! I'm trying to stay warm as it's gotten chilly yesterday and below 40 last night and tonight as well.

  7. Seems like I keep headaches. I don't know if it's an imbalance in hormones, allergy related or what but they hurt so bad. Sorry you felt so rough.

I love that your watching movies everyday. I never watch television and I don't even know why

Every time you post about those rude kids I'm just appalled. I cannot imagine one of my kids acting like that. I'd give them a good old fashioned spanking!!
