A FREE FRIDAY

Even though I have to work tomorrow, it's so nice to have a Friday off.  My car was in the garage (again!) and hopefully this time they have the right part for the car.  I can't get it inspected until that check engine light goes off.  So far, so good.

I had bad news from the vet this morning.  Pumpkin has a parasite.  We have to get medicine for him.  They are ordering it and I can pick it up next Saturday.  At least it isn't expensive. And unless they use the same litter box (which they don't) I don't have to worry about Snowy getting it.

My movie today was A Cookie Cutter Christmas (2014).  It's one of my favorites -- saw it new last year.

I am enjoying this morning movie so much that I think I will do it again next year.  I wake up so early and can't go back to sleep so I lay on the sofa and watch this for 1 1/2 hours and then it's time to get up.  I start the day all relaxed.  I was just going to do it until Christmas, but I think I will extend it until New Year's Day.

It's so nice and warm again today.  Up to 75*F.  I went to the garage without even a jacket and loved every minute of it.  Who would have thought it would be this warm in November?  It could stay this way all winter as far as I'm concerned.

My left foot is killing me.  I don't know what I did to it, but it is very swollen and painful to put any weight on it.  I can barely walk.  So I am staying off of it as much as possible today.  It is a little better than yesterday so hopefully it will be bearable to go to work tomorrow.

I had planned to do so much around the house today and did absolutely nothing.  Don't know why I'm so tired all the time.  I guess everyone needs a day off now and then.

We are watching Back to the Future II which neither of us has seen.  I know, we are behind the times.  But I did record it on October 21, 2015 -- Back to the Future Day.  Does that count?

So I'm going to end and watch the movie.  Until tomorrow...

  1. I love the idea of watching a morning movie. Unfortunately it's just not a possibility for me. Between getting everyone up, lunches packed and ready for school, I just don't have the time. I am hoping to watch a few Christmas movies soon though. There is just something about Christmas movies I love!

Hate to hear that your foot is hurting. I hope you feel better soon. Staying off of it is the best thing you can do but I know you have to work so that isn't really a possibility.

I agree on the weather!! It's been gorgeous here lately. We did have some rain today but not much. Regardless, the temps were still nice and warm :)

    1. If I had kids I couldn't do it either. Even my furry kids interrupt the movie at times.

  2. I love that you are watching a movie a day--and in the morning. That is such a great idea!
Hope your foot is better for work tomorrow. I guess it must be your Saturday to work. Soon you won't be dragging yourself there at all!

I am a little worried that you are so tired all the time. Have you had a physical at all lately? Could you be anemic or naybe have a low grade inflammation or something? Take care of yourself. xo Diana

  3. Glad to hear you're enjoying the movies! It probably starts your day on a more relaxed note. Sorry to hear about your foot. Elevation is key. Soon you'll be able to rest it all day if you want. My empathies to Pumpkin on his issue. Thank the Lord it's an inexpensive, easy fix thing.
    Prayers for your car.

    1. The car is fine! The foot -- that's another story.

  4. Kathy, I hope your foot gets better. I have pains like that once in a while. I mean I have arthritis in my ankles and if I do any thing...like walk too long or rake the lawn...they will act up and it's terrible.I just take Tylenol for the pain. You may have twisted your ankle or stressed your foot. 30 more days...You'll have time to take care of yourself better. I read what Nana Diana asked you...you should get checked. You know we only want you to feel well and enjoy life. :):) Blessings for a beautiful Sunday. xoxo,Susie
