THURSDAY WENT FAST...

... especially since I overslept and ended up a half hour late for work.  Sheesh!  Oh well, I'm not saving my vacation time for much longer.

I had Denise come in today where it could be one on one with her.  She is doing great for her second day.  She really wants to learn.  I am introducing her to some of the regular customers and to the driver from the Central Branch who delivers our mail.  I want her to start to put names and faces together with the nice people we have.

One of my favorite customers came in today to see me.  She has just had a baby, Peter, and she brought him in so I could see him.  What a cutie!  He so little and adorable.

It is so strange to not have Liz there.  Only two days until her wedding.  I know she is so excited.

The day did go fast, though.  Eight o'clock came before we knew it.  That is something I will not miss.  It's so hard to find a parking space when you get home at 8:30 p.m.

I am taking the car into the garage tomorrow because the check engine light is still on.  I need to get it inspected next month and I know it won't pass with that light on.  Instead of having a huge bill and paying for it all at once, I'm hoping to split the expense in two.  Carole will bring me home from the garage and Carol will take me back to get it.  I'm so thankful for my two friends.

I have to go to bed.  I need to sleep so badly.  See you tomorrow.

  1. What a wonderful day you must have had! It was sweet of you to introduce Denise to customers and
delivery people. I remember bosses barely taking me around to co-workers....Hopefully your car has nothing major (expensive) wrong.
    Stay warm!

  2. Hope you rested well and feel refreshed this morning. What about your thyroid levels and the medication? Has the doctor adjusted it? Have a nice Friday.
