LABOR DAY

I hope you all had a better day than I have had.  All I did today was sleep, watch TV, read blogs, and type out some more of Joe's upcoming sermons for him.  I've been tired and I think a little depressed.  This all seems to connected with my thyroid.  I will find out in two weeks how the medication is acting and I think the doctor will fine tune it then.

I figured since I am going back to work tomorrow it wouldn't hurt me to take today easy.

At dinner I said to Joe, "Let's go out instead of me cooking and get some hamburgers."  He agreed and we got into the car.  It wouldn't start.  He got out and looked under the hood.  The battery seems to be OK.  It seems to be the starter.  *sigh*  So now I have to get up early tomorrow, call the garage, call a tow truck, call off my Bible study, get the car to the garage, come back home, get ready for work, and get two buses to get to the library.  It is my late day so when I get out of work at 8 p.m. it will take me an hour to get home on the buses.  It's going to be a LONG day.

Joe and I feel under attack all the time now.  Ever since our Bible studies and Joe's preaching have started, all bad things are happening to us.  I know Satan isn't happy about it, but I never expected all of this.  It's hard to deal with, but we know God is watching over us and will protect us.  I keep telling Joe that we must be doing something wonderful to have all of this happen to us.  There's a lot more that I haven't shared with you too.

So I hope you have all had a MUCH better day than we have.  I'm heading to bed so that I can get up for my day tomorrow.

  1. Certainly sounds like attack to me. Hope you did get some rest yesterday.Sorry to hear about the car...Of all days,a late day. Any chance of a co-worker giving you a lift? I've taken a bus in but a cab home when I worked late. It's a shame about Bible study. Though I can't make it. My dog's sick & needs to go to the vet. She's had no food all day even refusing treats. Also she's barely walking compared to her normal high energy.
    I'll be praying for you.

  2. So sorry you are having to deal with these difficult things. I do feel when that happens, it is Satan trying extra hard to get through to us. Just keep looking to the Lord and things will be ok soon. Rest when you can.

    1. Well, not much resting today. I'm back to work. I know I'm a child of God and He will protect me from Satan's attack. All's good.
