BACK TO WORK

It was back to work yesterday.  Ever notice that after a Monday holiday Tuesday always feels like Monday?  Doug, Bob and I are going along doing our regular work when suddenly it hits me.  We are supposed to do a bank deposit on Tuesday.  Here I am thinking it's Monday.  So you know that got done quickly and went to the bank.  At least I remembered in time!

It's so much different at work with the kids back in school.  The morning and early afternoon is quiet and we get so much work done.  Then when the kids do come in it's for a shorter period of time.  We are prepared for them.  We have homework help for them.  We're no longer a babysitting service.  Nice.

Joe called the garage this morning and they arranged to have the car towed in.  The tow truck guy was so nice.  He gave it a jump and it started right up.  He said the battery was low and that's exactly what it was.  It still had to be towed to the garage though.  So now we have a new battery that will last us nicely through the winter.

My friend, Carole, gave me a ride to work which was so nice.  She and Walt also went to pick up the car when it was finished and drop it off at the library.  I am going as soon as they open this morning and pay for it.  Then tomorrow if the check engine light is still on, I will take it back to have that worked on.

But I had to call Bible study off for this week.  That's OK.  We'll just keep going until we are finished with Galatians and then end for the winter. Having all the ladies go out in the ice and snow and me having to drive in it is not nice.  Besides, we are all super busy with getting ready for the holidays.  We pick up around Easter and go through the summer.  It's much better that way.

Joe and I prayed yesterday morning that God would put a hedge of angels around us and no evil come on us.  He answered our prayers because the day was so much better and I felt so much more at peace.

I hope you have peace today too.  It's work and then evening Bible study/Prayer meeting for me today.  I know it's going to be a good day.

  1. Glad to hear the car is doing better as it seems are you. That was certainly nice of Carole. Friends are such blessings!

  2. Your Hedge of Angels seems to be standing foursquare and immovable.

So glad things are falling into place, and that your days are easier and brighter.

  3. Kathy, If your check your engine light comes on. Wipe the rim of the gas cap and where it screws in to the car...even a bit of dirt can cause it not to seal properly. This is one of the first things you should check with that annoying light. My husband ended up buying a whole new cap because the gasket was old and not sealing. I am wishing you luck...boy that big weekend went fast. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Everyone told me about the gas cap and I did that several times. That wasn't the problem. Apparently the low battery was causing the light to go on. But at least it's fixed now! Yes, the weekend went quickly!
