SUPER MOON

Did everyone see the super moon last night?  I had forgotten all about it until I saw it on my brother's blog (Exploration Photography).  OK so I'm a little forgetful sometimes.  Most times.

So I ran outside and there it was.  It was cloudy and it was interesting watching the clouds roll across the face of the huge moon.  I thought I would show you some of the photos I got.

I have never been able to see the "man in the moon" and even though many people have pointed it out to me, I still can't.  But I think being able to see a body that is out in space is so glorious.

The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.   Psalm 19:1

  1. There were too many clouds here to see it. We finally have had some rain. Thanks for sharing your moon photos. I like the last two the best. Have a blessed week, my friend!

    1. The last two are certainly the clearest. I didn't have a tripod, nor anything to lean against so these were handheld photos. You didn't see the many I had to delete that just weren't any good. Glad to hear you finally got some rain!

    1. Well it was around 12:30 a.m. here so I guess it was pretty late everywhere. I really wouldn't have remembered if it wasn't for my brother.

a bit of the clouds.I agree with you,& enjoy watching them flit across the moon.Just as neat, are when the upper winds of a storm chase the dark clouds. The heavens certainly do tell show us His handiwork
    as well as all beauty.

  4. We caught it earlier, as that pumpkiny/orangey gold, immense in the low sky.

Then last night, as we left the restaurant and hit one of the little "country" roads home, the sun ahead was so enormous and REDREDRED, as if straight out of the crayola box. Simply amazing.

I hope cooler and sunny days for you, Sweetpea!! One of these days I'd like to do a little e-mail library question or two when you have a moment.

    1. My brother also caught the orange full moon. I was too late for that. How cool that you saw that red sun.
