EVALUATING THE NEW GLASSES

I just wanted to pop in here quickly before I left for work.  Thank you all for your input on my new glasses.  It is overwhelming that most people liked me in my old ones better than my new ones.  A few liked the new ones and some didn't care either way.  But for better or worse these are the ones I have for the next couple of years.

When I came in to work yesterday, Liz said she really liked them, that they are the style now and were very cutting edge.  Wow!  I'm cutting edge?  No, just the frames are.  Ha, ha!

I think the most important part is that I am seeing so much better with these than I did with the old ones.  I am amazed that my eyes changed so quickly.  Things are sharp and clear now and even the colors are richer.  Who knew?  And my eyes don't feel strained and hurt any more.

I started the Book of Galatians in Bible Study yesterday morning.  I did just an introduction but I think it's going to be a fascinating book to study.  I gave everyone a map to see where things were.  I didn't even know.  I think I'm going to learn a lot.  Just Genny and Debbie showed up, but I'm hoping for more ladies next week.

Work yesterday was really busy.  I don't know where all these people came from.  And lots of problems.  *sigh*  Hope today is better.

I was so tired last night.  Joe started dinner while I was driving home.  We had leftovers which was fine by me.  I hate wasting food.  After I ate I just couldn't keep my eyes open.  I laid down on the sofa and didn't wake up until 7 a.m. this morning.  I'm either doing too much or it's this thyroid again.  Well, the doctor did say it would take a week or two for the higher dosage of medicine to get me where I need to be.  I can't wait until I'm home all the time.  I get by fine when I can take an afternoon nap.

I have to run and get ready for work.  See everyone later.

Kathy

  1. Hope you have a slower, easier day today than yesterday at work. Glad the glasses are working and you can see better. The thyroid medicine will kick in soon and you will have more energy and not be as tired as now. Blessings to you.

  2. Kathy, I just saw the new glasses..cute,.glad you can see better. I want new glasses too...I have to wait a couple month for my insurance to cover them. I would not throw away the old ones...you never know when you may need a back up pair. It's hump day girl...maybe it will smooth out the rest of this week. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  4. Hi Kathy! I scrolled down to see your new glasses and I love them! They look good on you and since I'm so blind, I know how it is to see better! Thank you for popping in to see me and Marion's doll clothes. I used to sew almost everything I wore and my daughter's clothes too but as I get older I just love to sew fun stuff. I'm short and fluffy and kinda hard to sew for now! :)
    Be a sweetie,

  6. Hi Kathy, I had to go back to your previous post to see a pic of your new glasses and I really like them. I think they look great on you. You actually reminded me that I need to stop putting off having my eyes checked, too. It's been about 4 years since I've had an eye exam so I'm really over due for a new pair. Blessings... :)

  7. I think that aesthetic should not be the top priority when choosing one’s eye wear. The most important thing is how they aid your sight. And since your new pair was a significant improvement than your last, I’d say it’s a keeper. Thanks for sharing!

  8. As long as you can SEE - that's what is important!!! I do not have a thyroid so I am on medication for the rest of my life. I am grateful my dosage has not changed much over the years. I had thyroid cancer in 1989. I know how important it is to get the right dose and as we age I am sure that comes into consideration.
