AND THE WEEK GOES ON

Does that seem possible?  I want summer!  At least there is 40 more days to soak up that sun, wear my light clothing and just enjoy the good weather.  Don't get me wrong, I love the fall.  I just want summer to last a little longer.

It has been crazy at work.  The Fishtown Branch and the Frankford Branch are still closed and we are getting all of their customers.  Those people are demanding and angry.  It's hard to all day try to keep everyone happy.  And the staff of these branches have been sent elsewhere so we don't even have any extra help.

I put the car in the garage yesterday only to find out that they don't know which sensor it is that isn't working and making the check engine light to go on.  I have to take it back in when they can keep it for a couple of days.  They have to take the gas tank out and see what is happening above it.  *sigh*  There's always something.

On top of that, my thyroid is still not acting right and I'm constantly tired.  I have another blood test scheduled in a couple of weeks and I think that the doctor will change the dosage of my medication yet again.  I am determined to get well.

I fell asleep when I came home from work yesterday and woke up at 12:30 a.m.  So much for dinner.  I had a couple of hot dogs and some left over chicken wings.  Great combination, huh?  But at least I'm not hungry and I could take my medicine.

So here I am at 3:00 a.m. getting tired again and going to go back to bed.  At least I don't go into work today until 11:30 so hopefully I can get a few more hours sleep and then get wash and dishes done before I go in.

Just remember...

But you know you are ALL on the nice list.

Kathy

  1. My dear friend....my heart goes out to you. Between the car, thyroid & work...Franklin D Roosevelt said "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are." Very wise man. On the summer? . I prefer fall & winter. I love to snuggle into sweatshirts & blankets! Cook more hearty meals like stews & biscuits..Yum! But I love the fact we are not all the same.
    Have a gorgeous day!

    1. Wrong Roosevelt, Deb. Theodore Roosevelt said that, but the sentiment is the same. Thanks.

As for your car, can't live with them and can't live without them.
    Get some rest.

  3. Hoping things at work will be quieter today and the people coming in will be nicer. I also hope and pray you can get the right dosage for the thyroid medication. I know what a difference it makes, as Jim takes it too.

  5. We are in the drought of all time here in Washington state since 2014 and 2015 the rain we normally get, ice and snow has gone baby gone, I yearn for green grass and raindrops I thought I would never say those words but many people suffer a lot..we had to buy 2 a/c units in order to live in 1,205 sq foot home and it is hot at that, the kitteh cats are like wanting to shrink themselves and it makes for people being very cranky, if I wanted to live in the valley of the sun and heat like h--l I would have moved to Arizona and New Mexico and Texas, but alas they got rain and I mean torrential rain and lots of it and now dust storms and heat like no one's business, I know there is global warming, up in seattle they moan and groan over 9 or 10 days of 90 plus degrees well here in Vancouver Washington it has had 24 plus days of 90 and above and some of those days were triple digit, don't tell me about global warming we are suffering badly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would do the happy dance forever if the meteorologist would say we will get snow someday our Mt. Hood and the many mountains in Washington state they don't have any snow and look like they are ravaged, the wildlife suffered terribly and the farmers in Washington many crops were destroyed or they ripened so early they could not get them in time, horrible horrible, I am praying for Rain and Fall and Winter weather, but the professional weather people predict a warm winter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Ditto to the person from WA state. It is bone dry in OR. Forest fires in many spots. My daughter saw some fire equipment leaving town last night headed out to help with their support vehicles. God be with them all. We just continue to live in conditions we're given as climate changes. Hope your day goes better than the day before. Hugs and prayers.
