JULY PHOTO CHALLENGE #8 -- DRINK

Another hot day at work.  But a little cooler.  On Tuesday it was 92*.  Yesterday it was only 87*.  Every day the mechanics come out, do something to the air conditioner, get it running for a couple of hours and then it dies again.  Well, at least they are working on it!

I was so hot that I went to Sonic for lunch to get a lemon slush.   Yes, it's slush time again.  It cooled me off so much!  I'm thinking of going back today for an orange one.  Hmm....

On the way back to work the sky was so dark and threatening.  I snapped this picture while I was stopped at a red light.  Look at those clouds!

It drizzled a little bit, but there wasn't much rain.  Heavy rain is predicted for tomorrow and hopefully it will cool things off a little bit.

We talked about "The Body of Christ" at Bible Study tonight.  It was an interesting discussion.  And the prayer was great.  Things at church are in transition.  People are leaving.  People are moving.  I'm not sure what is going on and I'm a person who wants things black and white so this is hard on me.  I guess God is teaching me a lesson that only He is in charge.

So the topic for today's photo challenge is "Drink".  I told you I needed a lemon Sonic Slush. So what better to use for the photo.

I'm linking up with Kati at Kati's Little Corner of the World.

 Until later....

Kathy

  1. Nothing ever stays the same. The only 'constant' is change! It's hard to except but it's useless to resist!

  2. It really is hard to accept. I was happy with the way things were.

  3. Kathy, What is up with the AC repairmen....if they were good they would be done. I too wonder about why some churches come and go. I love to keep all our churches here in our small town. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  4. We don't have AC repairmen in the city government. We have building maintenance people -- sort of like handymen. Two of the churches I used to attend have closed. It's sad.

  5. Sorry to hear about the AC. The repairmen probably have to work within a budget too. Love the clouds! They were really dark and you got a good shot,Kathy. The church situation is sad, especially the
    small neighborhood ones.
Supposed to be less humid today.Have another slushie! You deserve it!

  6. Makes me wish for a Sonic! We have none here. Can you believe that? I think that changes in a church setting are so challenging. I never like the people going bit and it happens over and over again.

  7. The library where my daughter works finally got a/c and it is much nicer to work in. Older building and upstairs can be overbearing when it is hot. We have had hot temps for a few weeks. So nice outside last evening when I was watering. 68 degrees at 9 p.m.
