JULY PHOTO CHALLENGE #2 -- FLOWER

It's been insanely busy at work.  Summer reading is in full swing and we have wall-to-wall kids from the time we open until the time we close.  Although I'd rather have the kids in the library than running the streets and getting into trouble, I also wonder why they aren't playing outside, or being involved in some kind of camp or organized sport.  I know when I was on summer vacation although I went to the library once a week, I also was out in my yard, playing with my sister, creating games, watching TV, etc.  One summer I even read the encyclopedia and tried to memorize all the capitals of the states (never did get them all).  Ah, well times change and now it's important to be on the computer all day.

We had a crowd at Bible Study/Prayer Meeting last night.  We are talking about fellowship and it's been really good.  Lots of discussion last night and the prayer time was just so outstanding.  I can't even put into words the feeling that was in that room.  And it wasn't just me that felt it.

This morning my car goes back into the garage for a fourth (and hopefully last) time to get the air conditioning fixed.  The new compressor that was bought does not work.  So they have to take it out, go get another one, and put another new one in.  It really shouldn't take more than just today.  I have spent so much money on this air conditioning, but I really need it.  We have no air conditioning at work since it is broken.  It is so hot there.  And I have no air conditioning in the car to get some relief from the heat during the day.  I come home from work just soaking wet.  They are working on fixing work too, but need some parts.  And yet at church last night it was so cold I was shivering.  Guess there's no pleasing me.

Well, since I have a lot to do this morning before I go to work I think I am going right for the photo challenge now.  The topic today is "Flower".  Again I am going to share a photo I've already taken.  Daffodils are my husband Joe's favorite flower.  I planted lots of them, all different types, in the yard and spring is just lovely.  Here's a picture of some just for him.

I'm linking up with Kati at Kati's Little Corner of the World for this photo challenge.  Pop on over and see the other pictures.

Have a good day, everyone!

Kathy

  1. You said there was a special feeling last night at prayer time....the same for me at our prayer time. People seem to have opened their eyes as to what is going on around us, and need God more than ever. As Christians, we are to be busy getting the Word out, and be in constant prayer for our country and our leaders. Love the jonquils...they are a breath of fresh air in early spring. Hope you get the AC repaired in your car and also at work today.

  2. I agree with Linda E.
God wants us to turn to him at this time and PRAY without ceasing!
What a blessing to have such a special feeling, knowing you are doing what he calls us to do.
