GROUNDHOG DAY

Well Phil saw his shadow.  It was so overcast I don't know how that happened.  I, myself, think it was all those TV camera lights that made him think it was sunny.  Poor little thing to have to go through all that.

Punxsutawney Phil

However Nora at the Elmwood Park Zoo did NOT see her shadow.  She says winter is almost over.  I want to believe her!

I overslept today and so was a little late getting to work.  When I walked in I found that three people had called out.  It was just Bob and me and the two librarians and the guard.  But Bob and I have been working for the library for a long time.  He started two years before I did.  So we just roll with the punches.  We had a lot to do, but it was OK.  Each of us jumped in to help the other and what didn't get done is waiting for us tomorrow.  There was only one point that it got overwhelming.  So that wasn't too bad.  I am looking forward to more people being in tomorrow.

I have major house cleaning to do tonight and tomorrow morning before I go to work.  Being out all weekend really put me behind on things.

Thank you, everyone, for your kind comments on the last post.  But I don't think I'm any better of a friend than the rest of you are.  You are all special in your own way.  I didn't help Diane move because I'm such a wonderful friend.  I did it because I believe with all my heart that God wanted me to help her.  I try to live in such a way that people see God in my actions.  Do I always make it?  Absolutely not.  And if you could have seen me at times today you would have known that for sure.  But I try.  So thank you, but I think the same of all of you.

  2. I also feel for poor Phil. To be woke up on such a day.....I agree with Linda, pace yourself. I believe in multi-tasking but with balance. A little here, little there,it will all catch up.
I also try to do as Jesus would but don't succeed as often as I would like. However I keep on 'keepin on' as the saying goes. Hope you have enough help today at work.
    Have a glorious day!

  3. Glad your groundhog didnt see his/her shadow, cause we are all ready for some warmer weather and sunshine. I am a day late posting, but went to sleep early last night. Hope you get 'some', notice I said 'some', of your housework done before work. It will be there tomorrow, if it is like mine! Happy Tuesday!
