HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JERRY!

Monday was my boss Jerry's 60th birthday.  We had planned to give him a party on his birthday, but he told us he was taking the day off.  So we moved it to Tuesday.  Then what does he do but come in on Monday.  Arghh!!  He stayed only half a day and then left.

So at lunch time our new Library Assistant, Clarissa, and I went to Shop Rite and got him a chocolate strawberry shortcake and a card.  Liz (our children's librarian) got him an Amazon gift card.  We all chipped in for pizza.  Bob got 9 bottles of soda.

Tuesday almost as soon as we got in Bob and I brought up the cake from the refrigerator in the lunch room.  We sang to him and gave him his card and gift.  Bob had also bought him a tie.  Why?  We don't know.  It's just the way Bob is.

Around 4 p.m. we had the pizza delivered and everyone had some for dinner.

Jerry was very touched and kept thanking us all day.  It's always nice to do things like this for someone.
