FLOWERS

Can you believe Thanksgiving is so close?  How did that happen?  And Christmas is five weeks from today.  Augghh!  I'm not ready.  Not at ALL!

It has been gray, very cold and dreary here.  Even on sunny days it is very obvious that summer is over and fall is winding down.  I am not looking forward to the short cold days of winter.  Give me a light snowfall on a day that I don't have to leave the house.  I will sit by the window and watch it knowing it will be gone by the next day.  Yes, I can deal with that.

Last week I wanted something to brighten up the house. So I bought myself a bouquet when I went grocery shopping.

I love the fall colors and especially the tropicana roses.

They are so beautiful.

They are such a nice pop of color on a gray day.

  1. Hi Kathy!
I like that you got some pretty flowers to brighten up your home and spirit.
I like doing that once in awhile, too.
    Have a great weekend!

  2. We just got out of a cold weather week. Freezing temps for nights, chilly days in the forties. Now its rain but that's Oregon. Your flowers are pretty. I am cleaning today in my office area. I have high hopes of no clutter and get kid table usable for grandkids on thanksgiving. Take care.

  3. Those roses are so beautiful! The color is a mood lifter. Would you believe there are still a few flowers on my yellow roses? I guess one last hurrah....
I cannot believe Thanksgiving is almost here.....and Christmas! It's coming way too fast. The stores rush it too so there's no real time to savor each holiday anymore.....
    Stay warm!
