OCTOBER PHOTO CHALLENGE #15 -- A MESS

Today at work we had another visit from Stephanie, the dietician at Shop Rite.  She did C is for Chickpeas from her cooking through the alphabet series.  I will do a separate post for that soon.  She, as usual, was really good.  Joe was going to go but didn't sleep the night before so stayed home in bed.  Our friend, Jim, from church came though and seemed to like it.  She made hummus for us and it was good.

I got a lot done at work today and am very slowly whittling down my to do list.  I write on my calendar each day the things I have to do and work through them.  I got about 7 things done today out of the 18 I have to do.  It doesn't sound like much, but a couple of days ago I had time to do only 3.

Today's topic in the photo challenge is "a mess".  Take a photo of any room of my house and you will see a mess.  I don't know how the house got so bad but it is terrible.  I am working on it though and hopefully by Christmas will have things done.  I usually don't take pictures of my mess, but I did take one when we were getting our kitchen renovated.  We had to pack up and move everything into the dining room.  What a mess!

Of course it doesn't look like this now.  Is this messy enough for everyone?

Linking up with Kaitlin at Homemaker Design for this October photo challenge.

  1. I think you nailed the mess photo. Kudos on the 7 things! I'm cheering for you. Anything taken OFF
the list is super. (It's the 3 item days that get me). But then I make something really different for dinner & that seems to boost my spirits.Like manghetti, cut up pork chops or hot dogs in mac & cheese with a side of broccoli....I'm making myself hungry. Or with the holidays coming, put your stuffing in muffin pans & bake.....Stuffin muffins! Enjoy!

  2. Yes, renos do reek havoc on a house - in so many ways!! One Easter we crammed EVERYTHING from our living room and dinning room into the kitchen PLUS had to be able to still use the kitchen both for cooking and eating - oh and it's also the entrance to our house AND we had three kids to cram into there for these meals - all so we could re-finish the floors! NOT fun!! Those messes (reno) are some serious messes!! ;)
