OCTOBER PHOTO CHALLENGE #13 -- LANDSCAPE

I had off from work today for Columbus Day and ended up having a very productive day.  Joe had a doctor's appointment this morning and after I took him there we decided to go out for breakfast.  We ended up at Andy and Nancy's Deli (one of our favorite places to have breakfast).  We haven't been there in awhile and it was nice.  Then we did a lot of shopping.  Because I have the car for work every day, Joe is stuck at home.  So I asked him where he wanted to go.

The first place was the bank.  It is in our supermarket.  So while he was doing his banking, I was looking at tulip bulbs.  I got a dozen yellow and pink tulip bulbs for $1.60.  Great price!  Now I just have to get out in the yard and plant them.

Then we went to Target to look for cushions for our kitchen chairs.  We asked sales people and looked all over and couldn't find any.  I did, however, find a nice black sweater for work and three cardigans.  My cardigans are so old and are going in holes.  I so needed new ones for this winter.  These are so nice and so soft.

We went to Marburn Curtains next and found some nice chair cushions there for only $7 each.  So much better than the ones I saw online for $25.

After I got home I began cleaning the living room and got most of it done.  It looks so much better!  I feel as if I am finally getting things under control.  I did nothing these last two weeks of being sick.  Today, although I am still coughing some and blowing my nose, I am feeling more like myself than I have in ages.

I made stuffed peppers for dinner tonight and they turned out really good.  A few people have said they had never had Steak Diane, so I am giving you the link to the recipe here.   If you like mushrooms and onions with your steak, you will like this.  It's easy too.

As for my coconut pie -- well, I am still cleaning up today after the fiasco.  Thanks to everyone for your kind words.

The topic for today's photo challenge is a landscape.  I knew immediately which photo to show you.  It is a picture of my very favorite place in Lancaster County which I pass on Route 30 every time I go out there.  I was able to get this shot because my sister was driving and I was in the back seat.  I love these Amish farms.  It is so beautiful there.  It really is God's country.

Now I want to take a road trip to Lancaster!

Linking up with Kaitlin at Homemaker Design for this October photo challenge.
