LARRY'S PHOTOS -- SAND SCULPTING

It's time for another installment of my brother Larry's photos.  With all the cold weather we've been having I thought I would take you to a warm place -- Atlantic City, NJ during June of last year to see the Sand Sculpting Contest.

Doesn't this look so nice and warm?  It's keeping me going.  It is going to get warm again, isn't it?

These sculptors are so talented.  I don't think I would have the heart to put so much work into something that would go out with the tide.  Hope you enjoyed seeing them.

  1. Wow !! I can't believe how very talented people are to make such wonderful sculptures. I like sitting at the beach , or walking the water's edge......but I never get into the ocean. I guess because it's never been warm when I have been near. Blessings for a great week Kathy. Soon, it is going to be Spring. xoxo,Susie

  2. I remember that day. It sure was hot. I'm not a fan of excessive heat but after this winter you won't hear even the slightest complaint about the summer heat this year!

  3. I got so excited when I saw the picture of a beach! I thought, good she got away from the snow and hit the beach!
I guess I was dreaming for you.
Now, those sculptures... how do they do it? I've tried to make a sandcastle and it doesn't even come close to being art work.
Thanks for the mental break from the winter weather. COME ON SPRING!

  5. A touch of spring! I haven't gotten down the shore for a few years now,but I remember the feeling of cool sand along the edge.....I like the early morning....before the crowds. My boardwalk treat was hot waffles & ice cream. Thank you for giving me a peek of what's coming!
    Have a spectacular day!
