WHAT DAY IS THIS?

You know how when you have a day off from work how it messes up the whole week?  That's what was going on yesterday.  Everyone kept thinking it was Monday and it felt weird to be working late on a Monday.  Now today feels like Tuesday and even though I know I have to get to work in an hour and a half in my mind I think I'm not going in till 11:30.  It's going to be a l..o..n..g week.

Our new half-timer is working out beautifully.  He is catching on so fast.  I had so much paperwork yesterday that I really didn't spend a lot of time with him and left him in the care of Bob and Diane.  I will be spending a lot more time with him on Thursday when he comes in again.  I am getting him ready for his solo performance on the front desk.  He told me he doesn't feel ready yet and I will not push him out of his comfort zone too quickly.  We are loaning our other part-timer to the Fishtown Branch for several weeks while one of their people is out sick so I want to train him on the magazines which is what Marquita does so he can take over while she is gone.  It's not difficult, so I think he will pick it up quickly.

Yesterday I woke up to snow.  SNOW!  It was only flurries and didn't lay, but it was definitely snow.  According to our local weather it is normal for this time of year, but I was certainly not ready for it.  I do not like snow and ice (especially ice).  Or cold.  My arthritis gets worse in cold weather.

I have lots of crochet and knitting projects going.  And they have to be done quickly because I am running out of time.  HELP!  Christmas is coming and my little fingers are going to be worked to the bone.  I'll show you some of them as soon as I get them done.  Some of them I'll show when I give the person the gift.  Don't want to spoil the surprise, you know.

I went to Rite Aid at dinner time last night.  I was just going to get some Dairy Ease but if you know me you know I couldn't just stop there.  I got some cute Christmas window decorations for 50% off and a fleece throw for Joe for Christmas (also 50% off).  Christmas is coming much too quickly for me.

Well, there is my alarm clock going off so I have to get off of here and get myself ready for another day of work.  I'll try to get on here later with some pictures.  In the meantime, have a good day!

  3. We have had fog lately. No sun to warm up the day today. Sigh. I have to print out fotos for my calendars I'm making soon. That's next week's project! And Christmas cards. Trying to plan how to get my brother here since he doesn't drive and takes the train here but times to always match us getting him, since husband has to get him after work. Will see how it goes! Take care!
