HERE'S WHAT'S GOING ON...

Tuesdays are always long days for me.  I started out trying to print the handouts for Bible study.  The printer needed a new black ink cartridge.  I always have trouble changing it.  It took me 35 minutes to put in a new cartridge.  I was so frustrated.  So that made me late getting to church.

At least it put me in the mood for what I was teaching.  We are going through the book of Esther and yesterday we talked about pride and the difference between taking pride in yourself and being proud and arrogant.  Really good study.  In fact this whole study in Esther has been really good.

The library I work at is a polling place, so yesterday was crazy.  Lots of people in and out and more than usual using the library.  We have a new part-time employee who started today.  His name is Logan and it is literally his first day at the library.  He's very nice and caught onto things so quickly.

I ran home at dinner time to vote because I didn't have time to do it before I went to work.  I was afraid I wouldn't have time to do it and get back in time, but the turn out was really light and there was no one in front of me.

I made the "What You Have Pie" tonight.  I guess I was inspired by finding the recipe.  I put in onions, chopped broccoli, cheddar cheese and pork roll.  It turned out really good.  I have half of it left over which I will use on Thursday when I get home from work at 8:30 p.m.

Have you gotten used to the new time yet?  I am still struggling.  I hate that the sun sets before 5 p.m. now.  And it has gotten much colder.  I have been putting the fire on in the heater stove to keep warm.

So time to try to get some more sleep.  I am going to the surgeon before I go to work today for another post-op check up.  It's going to be another long day.

  1. The pie sounds delicious! My dad did something similar on Friday nights using tomato soup & creating a "stew". Whatever works.
Welcome to Logan! I know every pair of hands is a huge help. I know what you mean about the dark. When I worked at Eastwick.I left home at 5am & work at 4pm. I
left & came home in the dark.Felt like a vampire! Ha ha!
The time change does take a little while. My dogs are looking for dinner on the
    old schedule. Be patient....

  2. Oh my gosh, I hate changing ink in printers. The last time I tried to do mine it literally took 2 days. I got the ink in but it still wouldn't work. Come to find out one of my kiddos put a paperclip down the back of the printer which was causing it to jam. Never a dull moment around here!

This new time is killing me. Anika and Ax have missed 2 days of school this week because I just can't get my butt up!!!!

  3. The early darkness is hard. But I like that it's lighter earlier, now, in the morning.
    I'm an early person.
Do you have Absentee Ballots? Our state has gone just that, no polling places.I like it!
